Robert, Nice 60. What year? I have its twin and mine is mostly stock too. I like the lights up front and have been looking around for something similar. did you add them? Where did you get them? I got mine about a year ago from AZ and have desmogged, refreshed suspension, newcarb, new exhaust, cat delete, removed heater under seat, new carpet kit, added H55, drawer system, clear tint, and a few other mostly cosmetic things. I am done for a while, but it would be nice to add a rack and a roof top tent....but gotta stop somewhere.

Once you start down that path of adding things and upgrading/changing things as many of us do its hard to stop. I have a problem that I keep putting too much dam money into this thing. haha.

Drove up to the end of the Jocko Canyon and had some fun in the snow. Snow was old and really crusty but getting some new stuff this week!

I didn’t name mine Project Snowball for nothing!

Holy Cow! I did not know that there is a shield that belongs in that spot. Now need to find one, Thanks for sharing.

Yep, sure is one there. My shield plate thingy hasn't been on my rig in many years mostly so I could monitor leaks, belts, etc. Been meaning to put it back on after the last hose n belt job. Can't believe I still have all the bolts.

I think I can put mine back on soon enough... maybe I can get my transmission skid plate back on there too...

Mine hung below the steering links, by the three front bolts for who knows how long. I always thought, that doesn't look right...:hmm:

 Thanks!

Oh no no no no no
I was just about finished my rig and now there is another part I have to sneak into the house? Right when my wife thought I was finished spending her money.

Save me - tell me FJ62s didn’t come with these shields.
yes they did

That’s what I was afraid of.
I’m gonna need a marriage counselor or attorney if many more parts boxes show up at my place.

You can have mine that I pulled off because it's a completely useless part and extra weight.

I mean you could have it if I didn't scrap it :flipoff2:

I don’t find it useless!
If Toyota made it than it was there for a purpose.
I see it if your behind someone on the road or trail or even just driving a rock or something can kick up and make a hole in your radiator.
Yes it’s thin but I see it better something than nothing.
But to each there own.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

You people crack me up. Rocks are not going to kick up and make a hole in the radiator. The frame crossmember provides significant protection. Besides, a rock can't be launched straight up vertically.

Next you're going to say Toyota had a good reason for only selling underpowered gas motors here, no overdrive, etc

this is what you should be doing if you are worried about rocks under your truck.

You know Matt!
There is a lot of useless things you do to your truck to many people. I’m sure they keep it to themselves as I have.
You have been trying to reinvent the wheel on these trucks.
I think these trucks have been around way longer than you have been around.
So if you have nothing nice to say keep it to yourself. I’m sure you have heard that from your parents.
Keep doing what your doing on your truck and let us do what we like to do in ours.
