The fit is not perfect. The 9.5xp motor has a molded piece around the end (I think its a heat sink) that makes it a little larger diameter than the original 8274 motor. I do have a little contact there. The grill is flexing a little, and I'll probably rub some chrome off, but I can live with it.
Thanks. Mine does the same.

Dissected my air pump today!
Quite a few damaged stuff!

Reinstalled the glovebox and door in my '86 FJ60 project vehicle. It has the dash from the '89 FJ62 donor vehicle with grey interior. Along with the 3FE transplant I installed a new H55f and the donor vehicle's transfer case, converted to manual front drive engagement. I had to use the grey FJ60 glovebox door with the transfer case shifting instructions. Although the greys are quite a bit different, I like the color contrast.

I also started to reinstall other small dash related items, like the wire clamp that secures the speedometer cable behind the instrument panel, once I was satisfied there aren't any leaks in the A/C components associated with the evaporator. I kept the vacuum pump on the system overnight and the vacuum reading actually improved from a little over 20 in Hg to a little over 21 in Hg. At 7,240 feet above sea level the vacuum is close to 28 in Hg needed at sea level. I closed the gauge manifold valves, turned off the vacuum pump, and waited 3 or 4 hours - no drop in the vacuum reading, so I'm good to wrap up the dash installation.

Forgot to add that I upgraded the latch to include a lock and key from an FJ62 - bought it used on Pirate4X4 many years ago. The new lock cylinder assembly with key is still available from Toyota, but the retail price is $92.34.

It hooked the end of the frame rail and opened it up but not past the body mount

Oh damn, doesn't sound good. I'm new to old landcruisers like this. So it means the frame is bent, and you'd have to do an off-frame repair in order to fix it? Doesn't sound like a job that's done over a weekend.

Beautiful cruiser and that is a cryin shame.

I am surprised the insurance company offered that much for it. How did they come up with the $13,800?

I'm paranoid about mine getting totaled and the insurance company claiming its only worth $500 or some such due to its age.

Me too! I’ve spent hours talking to my insurance company about the value of my cruiser. I know it’s a crap shoot but what insurance did this guy use? I guess I could ask him...nada does have a decent pricing for them now.

It was Geico they had it appraised and that's what they came back with.

Was the payout from your insurance co, or was it from the other drivers? Seems he was at fault.

Picked these up for a build that I’m doing, I’m going to be getting a set asap for my 60... fzj80 steelies w/ 315s.

got home last night from my family trip to mexico and skiing. had some snow in the mountain passes that just packed the underside of my truck. $25 to wash it this morning to get the salt and grime out of everything!! on the way through calgary though we had our once a year special stop at peters drive through.
