Some friends and I caravanned out into the Mt Hood National Forest to find some Christmas Trees!

This is the first time I took my newish 255/85/16 Toyo MTs into the deep snow and I'm pretty happy with how they performed.

Once we got our trees, we decided it would be fun to keep climbing up a rough forest road until the snow got too deep for the little Ford Ranger in the pack.

We limped along until we found a spot to a wide enough to facilitate a turn around. Despite the foot of fresh powder on the ground, the Landcruiser performed a J-turn without too much trouble, but reversing back uphill just wasn't happening without chains. Luckily, I was with the right kind of women folk to help me figure it out:

The 2016 TRD Pro 4runner in our group tried to scoot by me but ended up with his backend sliding precariously down into a steep ditch instead, which got an expected reaction after hearing him brag about the fancy ATRAC control system all morning. With a little help from the Jeep Wrangler and a tow rope, we got him unstuck and everyone made it off the mountain in one piece.

Thats pretty awesome!!! Was up around there today myself. Great area!!

I used my 62 to drive up to Redding and pick up a 100 (Esme)!! Thank you to reevesci it was great to finally put a face with all the transactions we've had. We had a smooth drive back home, I think now my boys want one, on Sunday I started receiving Craigslist/MUD ads for 100's. The trickle down effect!!

Now looking forward to some more transactions! I guess I'll go say hi to the 100 guys!

Great mission, team effort!
Somebody's got to get stuck to make it a complete adventure!

So Jelly that you got Jason's 100!

View attachment 1586283 They say it’s a right of passage so....better get started.

That is suspiciously NOT an unmitigated, white hot mess of goo. I was going to recommend
about a six-pack of Bounty Quicker-Picker-Uppers but I don't see any grease, much less the
grease/gear oil slurry that one usually sees upon opening up a knuckle.

I just installed Wagongear door weatherstripping on my 60. This stuff is great, but closing the doors took a bit more oomph than usual. All info says to let them set against the door for a few days, then they should work perfect.
Mine have been on for about 6 months and when you pull the door handle they still spring open. Good product.
