On Sunday I drove 25 miles of winding dirt roads to the Wilson Creek area and spent the day riding mountain bikes on some of the best trails in Western NC with a good friend.

How'd your 60 do towing that 40? I'm sure you've done it before Jim, but I would expect that it's a lot of weight for a 60.

It's slow (er), but otherwise fine. Trailer has a 5250# axle w/big 6 lug hubs w/ 11" drum hydraulic surge brakes. Trailer & tow vehicle have load range E tires, TV tires at 50PSI, trailer at 70PSI.

that'll polish out...

To keep it all stock...Just weld up the piston crown and chuck it in the lathe for a little fine tuning. Good to go!

Checked out New Mexico... Very pretty!! Tons of fun. The area was called Chokecherry Canyon and it is right outside Farmington, NM.
Camping in a spot that was a mix between Moab, UT and Holcomb Valley, CA.

After living among the pines, I am really enjoying cactus...

This Jeep was following us on a trail, I got to the top of this climb and I heard a loud crunch.. Ran down to the bottom to find that the Jeep rolled.. Due to driver error... It wasn't the most challenging obstacle.

No one was injured. (We were prepared for the worst, glad it didnt come to that.)
Flipped it back over with my friends winch on his Tacoma.
Classic Toyota moving Jeeps off the trail...

Been trying to make it to Wilson's Creek to ride for about a year now.... No luck yet.

Wow that Jeep owner needs to beef up the internal rollbar to a cage, especially with a kids seat in the back. Glad no one was hurt.

That was the first thing I saw as well.. Two kids in the back seat, one seemed to be about 7yo, the other one.. maybe 3yo.. I thought it was a bit irresponsible. The kids were fine, Thank god.

You definitely should make a trip up there. There is excellent technical singletrack, great swimming holes, and it is just an absolutely beautiful area. Let me know if you go and need route suggestions and I can share what I know or even come down and join you for a ride.
