My son (10), the dog, and I went camping yesterday. I let the kid drive for the first time and of course, he loved it. He drove most of the trail on my lap, but figured I’d let him try it for real on the way out.

^ washing machine tub fire pit!! 🤘
Haha, I love it!

It's about 30 years old (dad took it out of his machine when it was trash) and still works amazing. I just recently "refurbished" it, since I didn't realize my son left it outside and it was getting rained on and was getting pretty nasty.
I also use my Weber Black Kettle grate that fits on top when I want that real fire/ smoke flavor.

Currently working on this, still need to paint it once temps warm up just a bit. Can’t say I love or hate it. Made the hole and now it is what it is lol. OEM fortuner/Hilux hood scoop. Will add a few other finishing touches like a mesh screen and some misc weather seal.

Reading around the web is anyones best guess to what a hole in the hood will do. It’s mostly a low pressure zone so we will see. Can always do a real world experient and tie some strings to the scoop fins and see if air goes in or out.

Got any more pics with this?

Isn’t the best but this is straight on. All I have at the moment. I’ll be painting the scoop this weekend and cleaning up the install.

I'm excited to see more angles of the finished outcome. I love the factory hood scoops on 4runners and Tacoma's from the same era.

I’ve seen some Prado owners install scoops for their top mount inter coolers and is what I went off of for install. Mine is not quite as close to the windshield based on how i decided to cut with the hood bracing. A few of their pics:

Installed 5th gen T4R Predator steps to make in the interim while it’s daily duty for the kiddos.

Really love this look of your GX 💯. Those skinny Geolanders look 🔥. I was looking to find the exact specs but couldn't find them. I'm sure you posted them. Size of lift? wheel spacers?

Color matched and final install:
Added 1/4” closed cell foam to close the small gaps due to curvature not quite matching GX hood. And added edge trim with a right angle wiper to clean up the inner appearance.
Very pleased with the paint match and spraymax 2k clear.
