Little stuff...
-Snaked the sunroof drains with some 16-ga wire;
-Removed the ride-height switches and dropped a cubby pocket in their place;
-added front door cubby’s to the door pulls.

Went from having zero storage to, well, still having zero storage.

Where did you get the front door cubby from? I have the Prado pocket where the ride height switch was... definitely helps but I need more!

Looks awesome, bet that was a s*** ton of work. Is that the Dissent front bumper?

Yeah it was time consuming doing the headlights and getting the proper aim...

Yep a dissent front bumper.

ACC Garage.
$20 (plus shipping) for driver and passenger front doors.
My wife thinks that door pockets are miniature trash cans, so I had to find some place for her to litter up.

I have my long travel coilovers on the shelf, ordered 4.88s for the front and rear, and 37x12.50R17 Fury RTs. Just waiting to pull the trigger on RCLT and going for it on the cut, tuck, and hammer. Whatever it takes to run the 37s on the GX without making it crazy tall. Should be a hell of a quarantine project!

Lol. Thats exactly what mine have turned into. I found a set front and rear on Canadian eBay for $13 shipped.

SBE day! Finally got a chance to do projects. These have been on the shelf for months...

With no RSES, needed a different rear console piece. doesn't match, but the price was right and looks ok. I'm more bothered that the finishes on usb ports are different.

Still need to get the 2nd Start button relocated to the left panel, didn't have appropriate wire.

Replaced the front factory skids today with an RCI skid. Looks pretty solid. It is a lot longer and covers a lot more area than I thought it would. My factory skids were pretty mangled from Rausch Creek. I was worried I’d have trouble removing them but they came off easily. Overall easy project but my neck is a bit sore from lifting the new skid up to bolt it down. Very happy with the skid.

Started reverse-engineering the "accessory meter" (above the navigation screen)...

To something more "up-to-date" that can display multiple metrics at once, using five OLED screens and an Arduino microcontroller.

Still very very much a work in progress... I have 20+ years of experience in software, but hardware is pretty new to me.

The next work item is figuring out how the OEM accessory meter is calculating MPG (and thereby "range"). The speedometer is feeding the VSS on pin 11, but I'm still trying to find what I assume would be the MAF signal (or it's possibly getting pulled via CAN or serial).

I will say that you should sell this! What about taking a scangugeII and adapting it so that the display was in this location? It will read all the same parameters of the factory unit plus more.

Swapped in Philips Race Vision bulbs and I'll restore the lenses next... And do the fog lights too.

Man, this is really dope! Much needed update for sure! Stoked to see it when you finish it up

That's awesome! Hats off to you, Sir!

Changed some exhaust gaskets, hopefully they keep my 420 and 430 codes cleared. So far so good.
