Mine is sitting in the garage to install... any tips? I need to get a nutcert tool I guess to install it. Also how hard is it to extend the rear camera wires?
quite easy the whole thing took me about 2 hours, Hardest part was lifting the spare up in the air by myself.

Installed some light bars onto the GX this weekend. A 40" up top and 2 x 12" next to the fogs. The idea for the top bar install came from mudder Wildyoats who also kindly sold me some custom brackets. Didn't end up using his brackets on account of my light bar being slightly too long, but they worked perfectly for the lower light bar install. Switches worked out well too after some careful dremeling. Thx everyone for the inspiration!

Sorry to dig this up but I'm a new 120 owner and going through this thread for ideas. I was looking for a way to mount my old 24" lightbar but not finding anything other than a license plate mount which won't be strong enough. We're not allowed 'bull' bars in the UK. Do you have any additional info on the light mounts in the bumper by any chance, I'm guessing I'm going to have to make something but would appreciate any pointers you can offer. Thanks.

I didn’t think it was that easy. Getting that lower bumper plate low enough is a pain. I also ended up with stripped nut certs so I get the fun of drilling them out and doing them again.

Vsc trac, vsc off, and check engine light came on a while back showing cat sensors. After replacing the maf, and having no luck with hesitation/stalling I ran the scanner again today only to get a p2714 (pressure control solenoid D stuck off). In other word boys, my tranny is fuuuuuuuuuu

Fixed a blown caliper line in my Ceika BBK rear left. Getting an exhaust weld fixed today.

Can you share any info about this? Any recent maintenance? Did you do a complete fluid exchange recently or a flush? Do you tow? I thought these transmissions were pretty stout.

@SparkyB man I wish I had metal fab skills. Nice work!

Bought it some new shoes (265/70/R17). Now it looks like a proper landcruiser :D

Looks great! Love those wheels, never understood why we didn't get them on the GX in the states and only the 4runner limited got them.

I guess I could duplicate it, this is setup for a 285/70 on a stock wheel. Different offset and tire size would change the angle.

I wonder if you could make it where there was adjustability?

Here’s, the long post.

Fixed some rat damage the other day. Initially started out with a CEL, showing a knock sensor fault. Pulled the manifold to find the wires completely severed. I bought a new wire harness hoping to plug and play, but it was wrapped up too well. I ended up splicing it in. Soldered, heat shrink. Then aluminum/metal tape for shielding, electrical tape, and new plastic wire loom coverings. I sprinkled some peppermint oil on the wires as I heard rats don’t like that. Lol not sure if it will work.

While the manifold was off, I threw a new reman starter in, replaced coolant cross over-gaskets, o-ring on coolant tube, new manifold gasket. All is well for now lol.
