dude. thats a LOT of work.....

For future reference, try out this stuff!!

I didn't even report the 8-hr install day (making and wrestling with stick nuts, etc.) 😆

I'm not sure where I got wind of POR, I'd send that poster a gift box in the mail. 🤭😈

Thanks for the heads up in the next refinishing material. 👍

I cleaned the Summit dirt off, pulled my rear shocks, S2 secondaries up front, and shipped them off for custom rebuild to GXOR Slinky spec at SDHQ in AZ. Also got all my bits together to do a HAM install (Kenwood 50W) with TNC for bluetooth APRS to my ipad. That will go in next weekend. ALSO have to swap my rear lowers over to the GXOR Slinky arms. Should be buttoned up and happy by end of August for most, and the swap back will happen whenever the shocks get done (running on loaners for now).

Is there GXOR hardware now (slinky arms)?

GXOR, Slinky, and Treaty Oak are releasing a GXOR suspension line. Still getting finalized.

Jerry rigged a spare tire tie down system. Wife said there is no reason why the spare should be inside the cab. Guess I am getting a rear bumper come tax return time!

After filling up the tank last night all the warning lights and cel lit up this morning and it would only have partial throttle response, possibly limp mode? I still drove to work and back and it reached speeds of 65 mph but took a long time to get there which probably pissed off more than a few of my 100k besties on the 405 headed south haha! When I got to work I made sure the gas cap was making a good tight seal and drove home. None of the lights went off in a 40 minute drive over 14...yes 14 miles (So Cal Woo!) Got the scanner out and it threw p1442 p2445 and p2441 all of which are emissions related. Cleared the code and took a test drive around the block and full power was restored much to my relief! The scanner now has a new home in the on board tool bag instead of the garage roll away!

I like it! Did you have to fabricate the plate for the side tie down (the one that's in the rear seat mount)?
Yeah. Had some 2 1/2” wide 1/8” steel laying around so I drilled some 1/2” holes in it. Started with the mounting holes in the center but I liked it better offset, makes it easier to attach the straps.

I drive with a cheap bluetooth OBD2 dongle plugged in to my rig. That way I can check from my phone while driving (at a stop light typically).

This is the best deal I've found on pre-fab boxes for Jerry cans, vs. the niché market 4x4, offroaing or overlanding offerings.

This is from the trade/industry market.

I'm sure with an angle grinder and some creativity these could be quite useful Jerry holders (1, 2, 3, or 5 can holders) sold here:
👍

Dang it! Where was this 2 weeks ago!? I am going on a week long trip Monday and will just have them strapped to the roof rack.
