Last week, new tires 255/80/17, HAM radio hooked up.
Yesterday, spark plugs, oil & filter, grease, air filter, front & rear diff fluids changed and transfer case

Oil change, swapped our radiator went smoothly... Flushing ATF not so much. Drain plug seems to have been cross-threaded by a previous mechanic. So new transmission oil pan and plug are ordered.

Did all this over this past weekend so it’s not really what I did today per se, unless you count me taking this pic:

Falken Wildpeak AT3 265/70/17 on Stealth Custom Series “Stealth 6” in Matte Dark Bronze. Metal Tech OPOR Sliders. Gibson Performance Exhaust.

hot wired the CB radio and also the battery plan in the 7 pin plug for the trailer

tire rotation:

and my first 10K mi oil change interval. It looked pretty good!

I mentioned this in my build thread, but there's a high capacity filter @ NAPA (PN 1516) which they now carry in their Platinum series. (PN41516), this parallels the Toyota high capacity filter (which came off my rig from a Lexus oil change, that PN is also in my build thread).

I've come close a few times to grabbing one of those. Please share your impressions after a few weeks or so of use......(any rattles, is it a nuisance for daily needs, any regrets, achieved any elevated states of consciousness, etc.).

Not quite today, but in the last week.
Replaced radiator.
Replaced brakes.
New Geolander GO15s (265/70/17)
Non-nav head unit with Pioneer NEX-8200.
Now the Unicorn GX470 Sport has modern nav and entertainment.

Wait, what!
So is that an android auto/apple play nav head unit in place of the factory nav? AND a manual climate control din?
I too have a [2007] 470 Sport.

(*edit* I see yours is pre-07, the climate control in yours are separate and you said NON-NOV. I have nav so no separate climate controls...

still interested if this is applicable in my rig.)

(EDIT of edit)... yeah, not applicable to my sport with Nav. damn! I had hope there for a second b/c of the sweet pic. ;)

We've had it for a few months of wheeling and camping. Bought it used here on Mud. Right now it's a placeholder until we can afford a rear bumper with a swingout. So far no issues besides that it sticks out kinda far (we stuck a jerry can behind the wheel to fill the space) and hangs lower than is ideal. It's fine for overlanding but not for ledges, etc. (the higher version would help a bit). No rattles, and it's extremely well made. Besides needing a spot for our 33" spare, we wanted to see if the constant need to unlatch a swingout would become annoying for a DD (dog et al. in trunk) before we sprung for a full bumper. It's become second nature and surprisingly not annoying, even in parking lots. Basically we like it, but will still switch to a steel bumper whenever our money tree finally starts to bloom.

Happened across a 8.2 w/ e locker axle.... donor vehicle only had 2400 miles on it so in my opinion its still brand new.... except i didnt pay anywhere close to brand new price..... :)

Yes i know the switch is crooked but i made that piece out of some scrap i had laying around.... proof of concept complete so now i will shell out the 18 bucks for the OEM blank plate and make it as nice as it all works

What was the donor vehicle year and make? I’ve been wondering what’s better and what’s the price: a) 8.2 elocker from donor, b) Harrop elocker with original 8”, or c) lokka or Aussie rear locker

I'm still learning about my 470 so curious what the axle/e-locker is from. I have Harrop in my 80 and they are fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to put in the 470.
