Got it back from the transmission repair shop. No more noisy transfer case. Really glad I picked up a used transfer on CL last year and glad the shop would swap it in.

How much did you pay?

I washed my Pig

Took the doors off
locked the locker pins in place
checked the fluids
mounted the on-board air tank
loaded it on the trailer and strapped it down.

First trip for the new tow rig tonight.

Drove mine today for the first time since the cracked head!!! Am having header gasket leak so am considering either Remflex or buy two exhaust gaskets from TPI 4x4 where I bought the header Godalmightydamn it felt good

Htownfire: An FJ40 dash in a 55? Haven't seen that before! What engine/tranny combination are you running?

It's a 4bt 3.9 CUMMINS into a T400 trans NP 203 to 205 Doubler Dana 60's ARB's 35 spline axles shafts Narrowed to 60" WMS to WMS. The bumper and Dash and fuel tank I made myself All custom. It's been along journey Getting close to the end now I hope.

Fj55tlc that means alot to me I've been taking ideas from you guys for the last Five yrs. I have looked at your build pics over, lots of times. The only thing that I came up with myself is the fj40 dash Idea. I just hated the 55's dash so much. It looks like someone tried too soften up the inside of a beast. I had to make it hard. so I bought a f40 crawl off ebay and haked it up. It wasn't that hard of a skin graft to do

Thanks Pablo, Jtrock I'll post more pics of the running gear on Sunday. I'm at the firestation 2day and can't do it from work. The rear quarter were all reenforced with 1/4" plate. The rear tank and rear corner will suport the wait of the vehicle. If anyone has a facebook account I'v got all my pics on facebook just send me a friend request mark it Fj55 and ill add you. You have really done a great job, I am impressed

I had been thinking recently about adding a compressed air tap. I like how you did yours. The FJ40 dash is truly original and it looks killer. I finished the last details of my "dash face fix." Now I just need to finish cutting metal.

Replaced a knuckle after I broke all the studs off on the trail today.


Other than that I didn't do anything except wheel it.
