i need to get some body work done on the blue piggie soon....

If the weather is decent I'll take my piggy out to fraternize with other piggies tomorrow! It's a public holiday here in Kanukistan!

Started tearing the lousy body off it preparation for a body swap.It doesn't take long when there is nothing worth saving so not a lot of care is needed.

The frame has just a coating of surface rust with no rot. It's a '78 with the original 2F, 4 speed, front disc brakes etc.I drove it home about 100 miles and it ran perfectly.Little rusty flakes of Pig droppings fell from behind as I went over the occasional bump though so this swap is necessary.

I'm swapping my '74 body over.It had a poorly done V8/3 speed conversion in it so this makes sense.

Finally got some time to start welding up the Rotisserie for my piggy. Got both bases done today and will start on the whirlybird parts on Monday.

Was able to tackle a couple nagging issues with the pig recently. I've noticed a few problems develop since my last couple outings. Rewired the oil sender gauge, bolted up the end of the exhaust, and the rear shock that had all come loose recently.

Remembered that my rear shocks interfere with the u-bolt flip mount and they have been getting pinched for years while wheelin'. So I started snipping and shaping... plan to come back and clean up both rear shock boots soon. He's my first attempt...

Got Chester out of storage (damn Chicago road salt). Put him in last Nov just after Thanksgiving - started right up after sitting for 3.1/2 months ...got to love a 2F. A quick wash and we're back on the road

I filled the pig up, using propane! (does that make it a Hybrid?)

I got my pig out of hibernation last night. I bought my pig in January and drove it once in Feb. Temps where I live were 20-30 F during the days and 0-10 F at night. Piggy didn't like the cold temps. Yesterday it was a balmy 45 F, so I started the pig up and took it for a drive. Today I drove it to work. Now that things are warming up and the snow is melting I can start on all of my pig projects.

I put on new front rotors, pads, and a new caliper on the passenger side. stops on a dime now. only took me an hour and a half to get the damn rust bond to break from the hub to the rotor on the passenger side. ugh. Thank god for BFH's!!!! lol

Removed the front clip and bought the remaining steel I needed for my rotisserie.

put blue piggie in the garage and was going to pull the offy and 4brl carb off to replace with a calmer stock setup, but then was distracted by the main drain pipe for my house and the gaping split down the top of it :frown:

I unloaded a few hundred pounds of junk that has been in the pig since I bought it. By junk I mean great parts like a redline rollcage, newish alcan springs, a radiator, headliner, driveshaft and other little bits.

Glad to see that Pig back up and running!

Sno- wow, nice junk!

Charged up the battery and started it up after it had been sitting for about a year. Still runs like a champ! Then took it up to the transmission/transfer case repair shop to find out what is making such a racket in there.
