Installed new power steering cooler.

Here are the pictures of the power steering cooler that I installed. It is actually a transmission cooler from a 2002 Toyota Highlander. I had to modify one bracket and one line but it fits perfectly behind the grill. I tried to use the air dam from the cooler but it didn't fit. I don't think I need it anyway, it gets plenty of air. So far it works great!

Been driving it more lately. 4 comments from different folks in the last week!

Oh and I painted the drivers fender olive drab on the 55. just checkin to see what its gonna look like:)

Fised the door latch on the drivers door...twice and then pulled the masonite door panels that some PO had put on and made some new ones out of 1/4" birch plywood. I'll use some roll on bedliner for them when it warms up. I still need to make the rear cargo panels though.

Searching through a bunch of stuff...makes me wish I had a nice shelving system down in the carport. Cleaned up the bed rails and por-15 them. Hopefully I can do the rear bed this week. Also trimmed the FJ60 hatch I'm going to install into the cab.

I took mine on a 200+ mile drive through the mountains to the airport in the first leg of my trip to Africa. What better vehicle for the first leg of that trip than a '55?

Removed the front and rear heaters plus the blower motor from under the hood. Found that I have a water leak down the firewall from somewhere causing rust. GRRRR!

i bought mine a little play mate, 1984 BJ42. very original! wish my 55 was as rust free as it is....

Removed front fenders, hood, valances, etc. Didnt even break the front turn signals believe it or not!
