Today I finally painted my late model hood for my early model '69 FJ55. It has only been 5 years since I painted the rest of the truck. 
Installed a new Grant steering wheel (not fond of the big original) and picked up the steel for my front bumper. Weekend tommorow should be able to get somthing done.
Media blasted the front end. Outsides of inner fenders, front door hinge areas, and around the headlight assembly. What a mess, looked like it snowed in Boise!

Filled it up with gas, started it up, adjusted the timing, aired the tires up and drove it around the block a couple of times.
Put in new spark plugs and an Optima yellow top. Now i just bump the starter at 15°F and she roars to life!!!! woot

Happy days when your Pig starts for you!
Today I cleaned all the tools out of it and put them back in my tool box where I can find them! (man does this thing clutter up quick when your working on it). Painted the grill and started fabbing a front bumper.

I called Boise State (CWI) body shop to see if they are still going to get mine back in this March to do some more body work? Keeping my fingers crossed.
Removed the rest of the loose parts from the engine compartment and started stripping paint. Also decided to pull the body off soon to rebuild the rusted out body mounts. Wish I had a rotisserie!!!!!
Clutch out, flywheel being resurfaced. Working on getting the pilot bearing out. Thing totally fell apart. All that's left is the outer race which seems solidified inside. I'm gonna try the carriage bolt trick. Just got to buy a new bolt
soo i got some new turn signals on the fj they are mid 60s VW bug turn signals

I was going to say, normally I a pretty much OEM guy when it comes to Pigs, but those turn signals do not look bad!
Those really dont look bad at all. Nice job.
Pulled the tailgate off, removed the inner parts I won't be re-using. Stripped the paint from the tailgate, hood, and the back of the cruiser around the windows and taillights. I will be posting pics of the tailgate window motor and some other parts soon in the classifieds section if anyone needs these. The window glass guides that are bolted into the tailgate are in great shape, as is the inner felt strip that runs across the top of the gate against the window. Motor works great and has a brand new gear installed.
