LED conversion ..... The first time I have ever needed a dimmer switch. :)

I like the idea of the cluster being a little brighter but man, I couldn't handle looking at that for an extended period of time. Do you have a dimmer solution? Still planning on getting all my exterior lights switched out to LED through Rob

To be honest I've never even looked to see if I have a dimmer switch. If the LED's are to bright I'm sure Rob can find a solution.

I cannot see my dash gauges in my BJ42 at night, I would take bright over nothing...;)

Finding LED dash lights for a 12V Cruiser is a piece of cake however finding reliable bulbs for a 24V Cruiser has proven to be far more challenging. My current setup is at least the 3rd attempt to find a reliable product. Rob has a can full of LED bulbs that didn't meet his standards. So far the results look promising.

Are you saying I shouldn't buy cheap Ebay replacement LED light bulbs? :hmm: Also I think you should've went for Warm White color, maybe then you wont need a dimmer and it would preserve a classic look.

I just tagged along when G+S Sheldon ordered a few. I'm pretty sure they came from the US.... I see on amazon.ca they're a retarded $300 - Amazon.com they're US $88
@Greg_B or @70sguy will likely remember
Hmmm...pretty sure eBay USA!

I'm in NO WAY expressing an opinion on which vendor / source you use for your LED needs. I'm simply posting a photo of my setup. Just curious, are the bulbs you sourced from EBay 24V?

I thought that also but from my experience that's not the case. It's seems to vary greatly depending on the quality of the internal voltage regulating mechanism. I've literally seen what was supposed to be high quality 24V LED's "smoke" within seconds after being plugged in.

Yes they claim to be 24V. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, I am still researching whether I should spend a little more and save myself a headache.

We have a container full of bulbs whose seller claimed they could handle 24v. They could not. I'm cautiously optimistic that my current bulbs are up to the task. Good luck with your search.

Not necessarily. I would not count on them to handle +12v unless it is specifically stated. The Kaymar tail lamps for example state an operating voltage of 10 to 30 volts.

I have Rob's interior dome light and it works great! I also purchased the reverse lights and they worked for a bit and then stopped working. I pulled them out and they smelled burnt. I haven't had a chance to figure out what happened yet... I've got no beef with Rob as his customer service has been excellent. I just haven't had a chance to contact him regarding this issue.
