My stash is in my basement. This drawer would have saved me about an hour of searching and refabricating to get what I needed if I had been working at home...

So the two screws I needed basically cost $40 each for the billable time I spent on them instead of $0.40 each.

At best, the boss will have one size of lesser used fasteners that you have to cut down if you need less than that, but first you have to find them.

Ever have one of those days where you just feel like, what I assume, a non automotive enthusiast feels everyday in regards to automobile maintenance requirements?
So, as it turns out, brake pads are a wear item and as such should be checked periodically to ensure that they are not becoming overly worn and thusly causing undue damage to other brake parts..this is all new news to me.
This thing has 500 miles on it since February(current inspection)of this year....and most of them were from the last two weeks...so as I'm sitting on my bucket jammed in the rear wheel wells wondering how I let this happen...my inspection guys last words began replaying in head....."you should do rear brakes soon, like tomorrow".
Well at least I ordered pads....

it didnt tear the rotor up too bad and it was only one....i cleaned it up with a flap disc and a wire wheel...it will be good enough till the replacements show up in a few days....more pissed about the wheel than anything.

Quick update and wrap up of 2020 activities. Hope everyone is staying safe! Just checking in. Staying very busy with home and Land Cruiser projects.

Work on the 74 PIG continues. Passed the 2 year mark in November 2020. Progressing well. Spring 2021 finish? Only time will tell!

Purchased new wheels and tires for the 200. Wanted to give it a little something. Pleased with my choice.

Picked up a 2021 Lexus GX460 for the wife. Second GX , staying in the Toyota family

Driveway is starting to look like a Toyota dealership.

Home project, built this bridge. Rough sawn douglas fir.

Still much to do. Will keep you updated on the PIG project. Really hoping to wrap it up. Everyone keep up the good work.

That's a well kept secret. I can tell you it will not be green & white. Stepping out of my comfort zone to a more modern color. Nothing crazy, stay tuned!

Disassembly and assessment of a 960 tunnel oven on a pie line that suffered a pretty severe grease fire....due to covid travel issues I've been refraining from mentioning where my travels have been taking me.

Speaking of color. I did have a chance to drive this GWagon for a few days this summer. AMG model, 500+ hp, original orange paint.

Being busy with work and the holidays I haven't had much time to actually say anything but like everyone's posts...

I couple of months ago I did this, but I was getting tired of breathing in exhaust due to no catalytic converters and a slight leak past where they mated to the rest of the exhaust, that and it would run crazy rich. So out with the old:

The exhaust tone is so much better now too, but I still would like to do a complete 2.5" exhaust from the cats back, the stock system is very restrictive from what I read and just opening up the exhaust alone really let's these cars breath.

Then recently the factory amp took a dump, which I found out was due to aftermarket speakers not jiving well with the factory amp. I originally had bought an updated head unit thinking it was the 15 year old unit I had in it that was the issue and now it's snowballed fast. I have an aftermarket amp to wire in and I need to run wires from the back of the radio to the amp in the trunk. Well...

I've now ripped out most of the interior and getting ready to do cheap sound deadening and clean up some items as well as paint/dye the dark oak interior trim piece and portion for the dash black for hopefully a cleaner black and tan theme on the inside. So yeah snowball... That's parked waiting for me to do more work when it finally stops raining, oh and I have to order some generic weather stripping to try to stop the leak through the doors (mainly driver door) since no weather stripping is made any ore and no aftermarket option is available.

Additionally I finally got some motivation to get the old 4Runner I have in the garage out, my 00 Limited that I wheel now is starting to have transmission issues and I need to get the frame caps on soon. So I need a place to work:

This is bittersweet for me, it's like putting down the family dog, lots of memories and have met a lot of cool people thanks to this truck.

I also found out why my fuel light was always on no matter how much fuel was in the tank:

And also why it rained inside the truck when it rained outside:

Gonna take a trip to the dump with the rest of the interior I have, then I have to reposition the front jack stands, remove the transmission for a friend and the transfer case for me. Then start cutting up the body to throw in the back of the tundra to take.to the scrap yard. Also have a 3.4l in the engine bay that will most likely go with the truck too, I just have no need for it since I already have to other to rebuild and no room really for it. And on top of that, I may V8 swap eventually instead of supercharge, depends on when Im ready what's going to be available...
