The attendant was the one that captured the image through the manway.

This required both hotwork and confined space permits.

Quarantine Day 3 For me ha me in the garage today now that I have some allergy meds.

Started with clutter (seen to the left and underneath the truck):

To clean enough to pull another vehicle in:

Now to start getting some oil leaks in check:

have had a fair amount of seat time with the super fluffy sor cushion and the 370 rear.
the gears are great.....70mph effortlessly....the speedo is a solid 15mph slower according to gps...really going to have find some time to get the front swapped over. math says im getting about 12mpg mixed city and highway....driving with no regard for economy.
pretty sure im going to have to install a gurney bubble in the hardtop if this cushion doesnt settle in some.....but it is pretty comfortable.

As with most projects one thing leads to another.
While not pictured I at least finished up the valve cover job:

Waiting to put the plenum back on because I decided it was a good time to finally replace my rear heater hard lines:

I guess the old style was a coated steel which doesn't do well in the salty north east, but I noticed a lot of 4Runner even of my year at the junkyard had the newer stainless steel? I guess people had to get them replaced when they rotted. I had mine bypassed since week one of me owning this one -_-.

I had to transfer most of the brackets over which required this:

Right now the brackets are drying from being painted, I will install them tomorrow after I modify the screws I have that are too long (rather not have to go to Lowe's and hunt through bins at this point in time....)

I've been playing with a couple 900hp boilers this week....the Morris tube is almost 5ft in diameter. The lental is roughly 8ft from the belly of the shell.
The 3inch diameter fire tubes are just under 18ft long.
Luckily this year the fat girls didn't need any love to pass their annual inspections....we had our hands full everywhere else in the plant to worry about any more than opening and closing them.

Today however the 60 series frame got its rivet nuts so that the manual trans belly plate works....the holes are there on a 62 series frame...but no nuts.

Spent some time in the garage the last few days sorting out and cleaning up my spare third members. Found seven good ones in the garage thankfully I had tagged them all except for one. Gonna be selling them off once things are back to normal, right now it ain't even legal to drive to a friend's house to pick up a land cruiser part!!!!! There's one FJ62 4.10, a pair of 3.70 thirds from an FJ60, a three pack of FJ40/FJ55 4.10 thirds with the 60 X 68MM driveshaft flange, and a 3.70 third with the 60 x 66 flange, looks like it came from a 40 but I can't say for certain.

Nothing too crazy, we have been painting the living room, stairs, and hall. It will be continued tomorrow. I also got out early and worked on some motor wiring.

Popcorn and beer?? It’s not that exciting of a story! Greg’s synopsis was right on:

I bought a 40 a few months ago, bought a bunch of stuff for it, bolted a bunch of stuff to it, drove it around a bit and wheeled it once down at Fall Crawl.

Loved it but decided I didn’t really need a wheeling 40 and sold it to a CLCC member.

At that point I’d already subscribed to the 40-series section, knew all the cool kids had one and didn’t want to be left out for too long. A few weeks later came across another truck right here on Mud. An awesome original paint patina truck that‘ll be perfect to make the 6 mile round trip back and forth to the office and take the boys for ice cream in.

Two out, one in, and down to only three cruisers. That’s the truth, the whole truth, and I’m stickin’ to it!

sooo, spring popped last week......do you have a tracking number yet?
