The only reason I don't want to add the bar now is because I don't want to weld and grind on the paint. for a winter project I might try and find another set of fender so DAHONDAgod can work some magic.

your cut looks great.... add the bar stock before you hitem it adds ALOT of strenth to the fenders keep the pics comin man I wish mine still looked that nice:meh:

Good job on the fender cut. You going to do anything to the rear?

I don't know yet, I still have to lower the rear 2"s and add air bags+bump stops. I really don't want to add an add-a-leaf but we'll see how it plays out.

I'd rather have a soft spring and design around it then just throw in a stiff spring thats going to unload coming down a face or be stiff and want to push the rear over when off camber.

I'm sure someone thinks I just need some OME's:rolleyes:

get some OME's. 3" lift buggers :D

Nice front cut, looks a lot like where mine are cut. I am sure Chris will fix up those fenderwells much better than mine are ;)

Sorry, I meant are you going to cut the rear at all or are you waiting until you've dialed it in to see where you'd need to cut?

So far, no.. But I really need to. That is the only place I rub..

Um..... The idea was that you were going to cut up a used set of fenders and I would make THESE trick...

Man I cant leave for a weekend without you two cutting things up can I? :bang:

It does look REALLLLLLLLY good though

(Airbags are at my house in the back of TinkerToy BTW)

waiting

no they where $120 for a pair, I'm going to try some tj bumpstops first

Did you do anything sbout the core support under the head light buckets?

I cut the SHIAT out my core support and folded it over to weld it

and I used 4x6 universal bump stops with a 2 in base cause they were cheap ... at first i only had a 1 1/2 and a half of up travel to the bump stops but after the AAl in the front I have more like 4in
