It'll be way cool when a Tundra and a 15 year old "grocery getter" leave a bunch of big, bad Hummers in the dust.

hate to ruin a good hummer bashing, but Josh Hall has
won this class three years in a row in a.... wait for it.....

......hummer H2

Josh is the best there is, plain and simple!

He has won the last three in a row for a reason, he is one of the best drivers out there and knows the limitations of his truck

He is also a supernice guy and will offer advice even to his competitors!

I look forward to meeting him at the drivers meeting

The famous "sign mangler" during his aussie rent a car days :D

He lost a front control arm bolt, and they couldnt find another the right size, chassis end, might be worth logging that in the memory bank ;)

Wrong Nick Le. He was living in California at the time, the truck was his and some folks I worked with ran the race with him and shot a documentary before during and after the race. What failed on his truck was the custom shock mounts. I forget how far they made it, but the H1s had many mechanical issues and they would swap out parts constantly from the numerous support vehicles.

One day I'll get a hold of the footage.

Great article in Toyota Trails. Cant wait to hear more about it.

Sorry to see this colossal waste of money. Sumotoy, has already decreed that an 80 series probably won't finish a Baja 1000. BTDT.

J/K :D
Very cool, I will be following the thread/coverage with interest.

Kevin,

best of luck.

Bring home some glory to SoCal80's

XBox has an offroad game that includes the 80 series Land Cruiser (older Xbox). I was playing at a friends house and they have it rated as not handling well, poor acceleration, and low top speed. I haven't been able to win a single race. Here's to hoping the game creators didn't know what they were doing and you are a better racer than I am!

The nice thing is that when you roll it on an Xbox it just gets up and keeps going!

Congrats!
