Warn mounting plate(maybe for jeep) on OEM bumper, was installed in 1982 when new.

Have pics but can't post.

I welded a 3/8" plate to the back of a used bumper, then had it powder coated.

Pic of the mock up.

And a couple pics of it finished.

nice, any photos of it from the rear?

Also, do you access the lower mounting holes from inside the bumper?

I'll take a few from the back tonight. I found a template for the 8274 mounting holes and went 1" outside the center of the mounting holes from every direction.

Here's a couple from the back as best I can take - and a sketch of the plate I used (hope I got all the numbers right)

(1) When using a stock front bumper I use to clip/bend the ends on rocks/trees, so ended up chopping the ends off of the bumper (like the dark green rig shown above.
(2) When adding a winch mounting plate to the stock front bumper, you could consider mounting it about 1" towards the passengers side in case you want to consider a Saginaw power steering conversion in the future. I did, and the 1" was not noticeable at all.

I took off my oem bumper and put on a JT bumper, both fit fine with the universal Warn saddle mount plate, I mounted it lower to keep air flow unrestricted into radiator and the winch mount plate is so thick it is an effective skid plate for the front. The mount actually goes completely under the winch so it's underside is protected also. I'm not sure of mount availability as I did the mount back in '88.
