There's a wake (like a squirt from a water jet) in the reservoir when going into high at the very end before the pump stops. AHC fluid is one graduation above min line in Normal. I assume this could cause air to enter in but wanted to check if it's normal before buying another can of fluid.

I bought my first LX (03) a few weeks ago and just did an AHC flush using the 6 ounce each actuator bleed I read on here. The PO had a can he bought a few months ago but it wasn't full so I assume he topped it off. The level was well over the max line in N when I got it. I didn't notice this issue before so maybe that's why it was so high.

I get 8 graduations between L and H and everything seems to be working well. I'm inclined to just get another can and flush it further because I wasn't happy knowing there was more old fluid still in here since I did a conservative bleed. Still I've been going a little overboard on maintenance and trying to avoid tons of unnecessary spending if I can avoid it.

Also I'm assuming if this is an issue, it would be fine to drive as long as I don't set it to high until I get more fluid.

Get yourself more fluid and keep the level towards the max line in N.

The pumps can squeal if there's a little gas in the fluid. I'm not sure if that's the "wake" sound you describe.

8 grads is near end of life for globes, so I'd plan on a new set of globes soon. That should improve the ride. As the globes wear out you lose damping so it will feel more harsh than needed.

Thanks. It’s not a squeal but like a quick jet of water in a hot tub for a quick second right at the end when it goes into high. I’m fine with getting more fluid but it seems like it should be fine since I’m in the acceptable range.

Mine will also squirt fluid which I’ve been told is normal. I’ve been on too many ahc threads to recall who told me that, but I do remember asking about it.

Thanks. That’s great to hear. I saw the other post you tagged me on. Appreciate the help.

Replacing the globes is likely in my future so I might go ahead and grab a can while they are readily available. A local dealership has them for a little under $40 right now.

That’s a steal on the can. And Purchase globes from Impex where it’s the fraction of the cost compared to dealers.

Plaeides has been a good source for me on globes. 4 globes were cheap and were shipped and literally on my truck in like 36 hours from ordering them from the UK. Been like 4 years now and rides great.
