and more work this evening…. rear frame/cross member cut…. finished s***ty bob welds and grinded down…. started filling in ol' flare holes that had been plastic plugged for the last two years… and some other little stuff.

my chop cuts were sloppy…. due to dents and well, sloppiness….. so the bottoms of each side have a pretty mean gap…. I may add some sheet metal to fill these in, or just leave it, as I am on a slow slope of body deletion. Will have to put in the Metal Tech front spring spacers that have been in the garage to counter the weight imbalance, at least until cage is begun this winter…..

also, did not retain the rear body mounts, as I had said earlier: body will be short lived.

next is prep for lining full body
rear tube cross member/bumper
rebuild bushings in rear links/upgrade links
rebuild front locker actuator (not working)
YANKEE TOYS FALL GATHERING!!!!!!

als liner. 2 gallons. a little sloppy here and there, paint runs…. had some issues with air pressure, good at 60psi….not so good at 40 psi. used every drip of the 2 gallons with a chopped 80. would definitely want 3-4 for a full body. will touch up some spots when i do the interior

That looks great.

That looks great.
there are some rough spots close up, where i tried turning the air down from 60 to 40 psi, and the paint ran…..but not bad from 20-30 ft. You definitely have to be fast once done mixing, if i could do it again i would have mixed half gallon at a time, as the paint sprayed best near the end of its pot life (20-ish minutes).

How many inches did you cut out?

Anything to worry about when you cut the roof like wires/hoses hidden?

Obvious you haven't wheeled it yet but does the rig feel any different? Like lighter and stuff?
