Rocky Road?? Baby Ruth?

haha! I was going for "big slow lazy primate", but what the hell. The misunderstood,"slow", abused giant is much more appropriate.....
"MaMa, you've been bad!!!". "Break!!! FALL!!!!"

Aint you ever seen "the goonies" its a classic 80's spielburg movie.

The line Im quoting was a conversation between "chunk" the fat kid, and sloth "hard to describe giant with a conehead who was dropped on his head as a baby"

Maybe later youll get to see a "truffle shuffle", or youtube it.

Anyway, how do you like the destinations, Im curious to hear how they wear on an 80.

seen The Goonie's many times. i was trying to say that the "Sloth from Goonie's" truck nickname makes more sense than the lazy primate.

Regarding the Destination M/T's, so far so good. I picked the truck with them on it last September from a mudder, with about 75% tread, and put about 2k on since then......so no real useful feedback in that respect yet. I do need to rotate this weekend. I do know that aired down to 15psi, they wheel pretty good through the mud and over rocks..

Let me get this straight... you got a BANK to lend you OVER KBB on an 18 YEAR OLD vehicle? Hell of a Jedi Mind Trick. "You want to lend me the money..."

finally received my back-ordered winch from Metal Tech. Will have it installed in that empty void on the ARB this week :D

couple of new additions.... Got the Engo 12K winch mounted a while back... Had to use washers to space the winch back to clear the angles on the ARB. Looks like crap, but its on and tight.

about a month ago, on it's first pull up a steep muddy climb, a guy that pulled line for me failed to notice that the cable was bunching up... and it broke the two rear guide bars. :bang: But the winch worked great, used it twice to pull the 80, and helped out a mini truck as well. Slow, and noisy, but you get what you pay for. I had the wiring box mounted to the left side of the grille, but this caused high temps on the highway. Haven't gotten a chance yet to relocate it under the hood.....Where's the best place to locate it?

Metal Tech sliders have been great... definitely seen some abuse and saved my rockers more than once...

and moved up to 37" IROK radials. The Destination M/T's were getting worn down and beat, and after easily slashing a side wall, had some convincing to do to get something a bit tougher. So after about a month of pleading with the wife (THANK YOU!), on went the Swampers.

No rubbing so far, will give them a good test at the Yankee Toys Fall Gathering in two weeks. Balanced with equal tire balancing compound.... The radials ride smooth and quieter than my worn Destinations.
Before and after pics. As said before, the truck just looks right on 37's!!!!!!!!!:)

Looks mint. the 37's are money. Can't wait to see it at fall gathering. Did you regear? If not how does it feel with the 37's compared to 35's?

Did you regear yet?
I'm rocking 5:29's on 315's in anticipation of 37's...

NIce!!`

Really nice rig, love the 37's. You are right, it does look great with them. X2 on the regear, or how is it with the stock gears and the 37's?

37s or bigger nothing less!!!!!

Thanks guys!

Haven't gotten a chance to hit any big hills on the highway yet, and i don't mind switching the hazards on:hillbilly:. No more truck stuff for a bit (tires were "money", as Scrowley said)...Maybe next year....late next year , 5.29's and Long's would be the next step.....and a tire carrier....and......dammit......tonight on TLC, Landcruiser Intervention.
