I see a red wire that is non factory in your picture, with wire crimp splice. That wire "crimp" is not the way to go in automotive application. Raychem is the way to go: Knock sensor wire cut, what do I do HELP

@Tummler - I'll put it this way, I have no strong evidence to suggest the battery is in sub-par shape. It's also two years old. When I ran the battery down it was completely my fault. I had a lots of lights on, engine off for a long time, etc. I've been down the road of weak batteries/alternators before (on different cars, not my 100) so I'm pretty used to what all of that mess looks like, and I'm just not seeing those warning signs in this case. I'll know for sure when the first frozen morning hits and it either cranks poorly or not :)

I hear you, though I note my LC wasn't experiencing any other issues I associate with a bad battery. It was cranking the engine just fine at startup, lights weren't dimming, etc.

That's my radar detector fuse tap with the butt crimp. It's the only connection like it on the car, I know they aren't that great from experience. Was in a hurry that day. :)

EDIT: Also, I didn't do something stupid like put a fuse tap on an ECU fuse. I tapped the 12V power outlets, which are 15A fused behind a 50A and basically don't interact with anything else in the electrical system. Checked the EWD to make sure before I did it.

It DISTINCTLY happened after I had reversed into a parking spot and then ran the shifter up into PARK.

Hello - I purchased my 03 LX470 a month ago. And the light combination discussed here just came on. It definitely happened after Reverse -> Park after I backed into a parking spot, which I rarely do. Thought this might be helpful.

Anyway, I'm a newby here, and I dont have any other details at the moment. But I'll try to check codes tomorrow and keep this updated. Sounds like I need to order a techstream.

My car seems a little slow to crank (without any knowledge of what it should be), so it is possible that it needs a new battery.

To Do:
Check Codes
Identify last maintenance
Identify battery age/condition
See if any of the drive or park lights are out

Subscribed and thanks for the detail.

I'm getting a P0430 Code (Bank 2 Catalyst System).

From searching, it looks like I need to replace the 02 sensors before having to replace the CATS.

My 2001 LC just started to light up VSC TRAC and VSC OFF. No other warning lights. Ran the scanner but no codes. The “P” light bulb is out (I think it just went out). “D” has been out for awhile.

I’ve read multiple threads about VSC TRAC and VSC OFF and there some comments about “P” bulb needing replacement. But I couldn’t really nail down why it’s important...maybe circuit flow, etc. Can it be that simple to fix this issue?

I’m going to run the diagnostic process but was curious about this. If anyone can bring some logic to this that would be greatly appreciated.

I'm experiencing the same issue with the VSC TRAC & VSC OFF lights on. My P light is still lit but my D light has been out for years thankfully. I am going to try a zero point calibration this weekend to see if that helps but keep us updated if you find a solution. Have you done any maintenance recently? Are you lifted at all?

I have had 285 coils in back and cranked TB for over year and no maintenance for at least a month. I did get a new brake booster/brake bleed/et., new spark plugs and coils couple months ago. Battery is clean and good voltage. And the VSC lights just came on this week.

Haven’t had time to really dig into it. Hoping to get into it next weekend.

Hmm I removed, inspected, and cleaned all of my spark plugs about a month ago and now my lights just came on this week too (no replacements needed). I wonder if that's just an odd coincidence....

Interesting for sure. It was pretty snug but I wonder if it became loose. But I’m not even sure if that would set off the vsc lights. My idle is good too. It sounds like you will tackle this before I do. Love to see what you find out.

Just based on title "vsc-trac-vsc-off" meaning these dash lights are on. There is no one issue. Look at a land cruiser wrong and it shuts down VCS & TRAC. Almost any DTC become current/confirmed, will shut down vsc-trac-vsc-. If thsi happens after some work done, start there. Reading codes (DTC) is also a good starting place.
