Wow, so $1100, then you still need to buy a tune?

I'm hoping I get some kind of a discount if they can learn to unlock this type of ECU remotely...but yeah it's a lot. I already have the Stage 1 Harrop so I want to have it optimized and maybe maybe go to a slightly smaller upper pulley for better boost at the higher elevations.

I've been hoping that Magnusson will release a kit for the '16+ 200's that comes with a 50 state tune, etc... So maybe this is the first step...

I may be taking one for the team here. I have a newer HE, '21, and I have purchased a new ECM for eight hundred bucks, and now I have shipped it to Korea for unlocking for another three hundy. The unlocking is free, but the shipping costs are murder. Will revert with an update when I have more to share.
From what I have gathered from the Tundra forums the need to ship off ECU's is not a thing anymore. I don't know who to believe! Ask 10 people get 10 different opinions. Thanks for taking the plunge. I have also gathered that going to 1 step colder spark plugs is a must when getting tuned for even a stage 1. Using Denso IKH22 here, mine is being tuned at the moment. Should have Dragy's to post pre and post tune to compare.

My plugs were gummy coming out and fuel soaked and most came out stiff after exactly 1 year of running with no tune on a stock stage 1.

They did release the 2650 a couple months back. Why not get a custom tune in Denver just for your truck? I could meet ya and you can drive mine....

I looked through the ECMs listed for different years of LC....the part number changes quite frequently. Mine is 89666-60R40 which apparently has not been cracked yet for remote tuning.

I didn't think anyone could tune the '18's yet? Plus I've got to deal with passing emissions down here, so would prefer a 50 state legal tune. That way I don't have to worry about it

I believe they cannot tune remotely. They can have you ship the ECU to Korea for cracking, then tune that either remotely (with a handheld flasher) or in person at a dyno. I didn't want to take my LC out of service so purchased a spare ECM to crack.

Jason is saying that someone where I live in Denver could tune mine, that's why I'm asking....

I have found a couple tuners. Was going to use @tunedbyloi but switched last minute to a local Denver tuner who Ben at Slee referred me to so I'm in good hands. He has tuned multiple LC, LX, Tundras who deal with emissions.👍

Is your ECU calibration id 360T1100 or more commonly 60T11?

No idea, how can I check? The Front Range is beginning to crack down on any tune, period. If it's not 50 state legal, it's illegal. I very much doubt any of the local tuners are bothering to spend the $$$$ to get their tunes CARB certified, which is what's needed. Magnusson will if they release a kit though...

Once I get all the data and info organized I'll post a "recipe" for what's needed for stage 1 and stage 2 etc beyond the Harrop or Maggy kit. I have had to gather inputs from many sources and setups to see what exactly is needed to do the job right which I have yet to find in a single place much less a single post.

You can use Techstream under health check...or a Snap-On OBDII scan tool. I stopped into RSG where I had my blower installed and had them pull it- takes less than 5 mins. I'd be willing to take mine to a station and smog it just to see.

This isn't what your wanting?

thanks for taking the plunge for the rest of us. did you plugin the new ECM in your HE?

Probably should have, but it’s the same part number as mine (I pulled mine to confirm before ordering) so it should work- but might need an initial dealer flash, that I do not know.

Yes, that kit is exactly what I'm looking for. It's for a '19-21 Tundra, is it a direct plug n play for my '18 200?

I'm pretty sure. You could call and ask why other years/models aren't listed.

I think Magnuson offers the 480cc PNP Denso injectors too FWIW. IMHO they are too small as I have seen Tundra's with the TRD SC and TRD 535cc injectors were maxing them out at 8,000ft elevation; 650cc-750cc is more appropriate from my perspective.

At 8000 feet was the TRD SC able to make sea level manifold pressure?

Good point. He swapped down to a smaller pulley to drive it harder in an attempt to get the same boost as others get at sea level. The TRD blower is a Magnuson TVS1900 which would pair fine with those injectors. He has a smaller pulley to spin the blower harder which is why the OEM injectors are too small.
