changed my old stock rims(2010) to newer style(2018), fit looks good but front center caps wont seat in. silly me i thought it was an easy swap. do i have to run a spacer now?

you need to trim the retention tabs of the center caps slightly with a dremel on the front wheels. The rear wheels do not require modification

i take it you have done this before.... oosh how slight?

yes I am using 2016+ wheels on my 2013. I needed to trim around 1/4" off of the retention tabs on the two front center caps. Not too difficult.

Here is a pic from another thread. I don't think you need to trim this much though but it's been some time since I did mine.

If you really don’t want to trim the caps you can install 2016+ hub nut covers. Part number 43514-60020

Probably not worth the cost or effort though.
