Upgraded from an armored 100 to armored 200. Service and Upgrades (1 Viewer)

Good day to all.
I wanted to bother you all to inquire what would be the most important items to review on my next visit to the service department at my dealer.
I recently brought State Side my Latam Spec Land Cruiser 200. Might sound weird bringing a foreign spec LC to the States. Long story short this was one of my corporate vehicles in Mexico city and decided to bring it home as my DD.
Although It has been serviced at the dealer down in Mexico City to be honest I don't trust at all what ever they did to it down there. So I want to make sure my truck is running as it should.

My truck has 40,000 miles give or take.

So far the only thing I have noticed is not working correctly is the High-Low range selector. It is not engaging 4L.

Apart from that I think the truck can benefit from the following:

- Full fluids replacement
- New spark plugs
- Transmission service
- New battery... better to get aftermarket than one at Toyota dealer?
- Recall Check.. don't think it applies to mine I could only find a TPMS recall online but my truck does not have TPMS.
- Ordering additional remote FOB.

I know for a fact that I need suspension and brakes.

- Suspension Upgrade
Any feedback would be appreciated.... on my existing 100 I ran medium duty OME suspension and it has been awesome handling the weight of the armor and the very light off road trails I take.
Not sure if to go again OME or try ICON suspension on the 200... not looking for serious offroading just looking for more stability. Stock suspension is fine but rear springs give out due to weight in a very short time frame. Feedback on either suspension would be greatly appreciated.
-Rear tires look a bit tucked inn, maybe will fix with spacers once suspension work is done.

- Brakes
I read there is a Tundra Brake upgrade... I suppose its the front brake system... is this correct?
Going for that or refinishing existing braking system and upgrading to stop tech cryo treated slotted rotors.


Other upgrades planned.
-Stereo, current stereo is the simple cd changer with no nav. No need for nav but would be nice to have rear view camera, IPod connectivity and blue tooth.

-Led reverse lights and interior led bulb upgrade.

-Additional USB power outlets.

Down the road maybe an ARB bumper.

If you're near Denver, Arizona or Salt Lake, there are a number of good shops that could do a lot of what you need and know enough to give you solid advice for a turnkey solution. Plus it would be cool to see photos of it and the upgrades.
Slee, Camelback, Cruiser Outfitters, etc.

+2 on what are the armor specs. Feel free to leave it in San Antonio on your way back to Mexico.

You could truly FEEL the weight of the thing. Glass was crazy thick & doors weighed a ton.

given the weight I'd give Dylan at Icon a call - might be a great candidate for the Tundra front conversion with the new 3.0" front shocks.....
I love how my truck rides - much more stable and predictable.

I did the Stoptech drilled/ slotted on each corner and their pads - huge improvement for the $.....

Pics of the rig and more info ? sounds like a beast !

Armored up as bullet proof, grenade proof literally lol.

Yup dose are MRAPs in LC shale lol. they are crazy mine is possibly one or two notches down the resistance level of the ones the State Department uses. They are supposed to hold up to RPG's. Mine is grenade, and 50 cal resistant at the most. Definitely most long rifles and handguns.

where is a good place to source the Stop Techs? I used to get them thru Tire Rack but now they carry the Centric stuf....

As others said, pics! How are you keeping it in the states as a DD since it is nowhere near 25+ years old?

Right now It has Mexico registration but there is a very limited list of vehicles that can be imported to the US outside the rules of the 25 + years plus deal. This one is one of them it has all the Federal requirements so its just a short importation process. Did it before with my LC100. I decided to leave it our warehouse till I take it tomorrow to the dealer so they can sort out what else is need to get it in correct running order.

I took advantage of the "sales" that Autoanyting had plus their free shipping for the Stoptech...... if you are willing to run a 20" you would be one of the few rigs that might be really able to justify the Brembo or Stoptech 6 & 8 piston big brake kits.....

Actually stop tech markets their big brake kit for armored LC...

That is correct, I have had my 100 since 2009 here and is a 2006. And passes emissions in Texas like any other car.
The key is doing the process correctly but at least the LCs for the Mexican Market are very similar to the ones for the US Market. But they do meet all federal motor vehicle requirements most importantly emissions.

Do you have whatsapp or skype? Is your TLC 200 armored FB4/BR4 or FB6/BR6 I can give you heads up on suspension and brake kits. Just be careful alot of people will sell offroad +2 inch suspension which is not correct for armored. Alot of time you will have coil binding.
