How about a rear heater core for earlier style fj40's rear heaters ... pre 80'

Now that mine sprung a new leak lol

The rear circular heaters ... very close is xk120-140 heater cores

Early 50's GM had a circular heater ... and Brit stuff as well

Nothing that's s drop in that's for sure... but... somebody who makes these can probably make one to also fit a 40 rear heater

Wait a bit for the acid......:smokin:

A little heat, some acid and solder, and you can get that old core going again! :grinpimp:

I wish it were that easy

I had this core repaired a few times already ... and my spare as well... the problem is that they had become so brittle that they split at the core tubes ... and this one is split on the inside of one of the tubes (can't get to )

A friends kid was in my truck with my kids and unbenounced to me he was pushing against the heater with his foot ... he didn't know the be careful near the rear heater rule :meh:

Try contacting Classic Cruisers in Salida, CO - ask for Glenn. They may have a rear heater core in their bone yard.

Really need to get an '80+ one created, also the rear cargo mat is grey and not black.

Johnny, I probably have twenty loose heater cores. They will be on sale during my fire sale.

Hey Johnny, after you get the core replaced or repaired, you should build a simple guard over the heater to protect it in the future. Just some 1 x 1 angle and expanded metal, steel or aluminum, would do the trick.

Are the inner and outer (lower and upper?) transfer case boots for an '83 40 the same as a 60 series or just singular freaks? The bolt pattern is a little bit larger than earlier 40 models and I need both parts.

The inner transfer case boot from a 60 can be shoehorned to fit in a '78 40. Won't fit perfectly, but with a new hole and some shoving, it will seal up and work fine. I expect it would fit even better in an '83 FJ40, due to the tunnel design changes. The outer boot will likely be model-specific.

I have this already ... protected for the most part... but has no side protections

I'll need to do a redesign lol

Over the next month, we will release the following discontinued weatherstripping:

62743-90300 for '71 to '76 FJ40 rear hatch window
62741-90300 for '71 to '77 long side window
67872-90300 Lower back door for '73 and earlier
20161012_130618-jpg.1335304

Various tail gate pieces for '73 and earlier: 64964-60010, 64922-90302, 64923-90300

All of these are ready for production run, and all will be identical to OEM but offered for below original OEM prices. It's about to get a lot easier to properly restore an early Land Cruiser.

I'd like to seek one or two volunteers to trial fit the above pieces before starting production. If you're interested, and have the availability to install it within 2 weeks or less, please PM me with:
1. The year of your vehicle
2. Which piece(s) you'd like to fit

If it fits, you get to keep it.

I apologize in advance this isn't a first come first served offer. Ideally I'd like to pick someone who has experience with installing weatherstripping, and can do most or all of these pieces on the same vehicle.

Again, the relevant pieces are:
62743-90300 for '71 to '76 FJ40 rear hatch window
62741-90300 for '71 to '77 long side window
67872-90300 Lower back door for '73 and earlier

Here's a pic of the rear hatch weatherstrip:

Roger, my '69 FJ40 is a hardtop model, so I could fit the lower hatch weatherstrip as well as the lower door weatherstrips. Funnily enough, I just glued the remains of one of the lower weatherstrips back in place two weeks ago after my desert trip, thinking sadly that that was my only option.

That's perfect. Reconfirming, I'll send you:
67872-90300 Lower back door for '73 and earlier
