Howdy. I found this under the dash, close to the firewall harness hole on the drivers side. Anyone know for sure what it is? My guess is it’s the seatbelt warning buzzer. If you look the contacts they are arranged like a flasher and are labeled. One is a load and the other is “B”. I hope it’s the buzzer

If you put 12 volts to it, and it made a buzzing noise, that would support your supposition that it is a buzzer.

I wired it to a light as if it were a flasher. The circuit works but it doesn’t flash. I thought it seemed dim so I checked the output voltage to see if it is a voltage regulator and nope. 🤷🏻

I assume it's from an FJ40, since you've posted in the '40 section. What year?

Does it have any part #'s on it? B could be Battery and L could be Load or perhaps Inductor in EE terms apparently not Light.
If you are careful you can pry the tabs and open it up to see what is the unit.
Doesn't look like any of these exactly, so could be a PO mod for some non standard equipment, or some non OEM unit pressed into service for function - for a long time there were lots on NLA stuff for for older LC's.
Maybe correct wiring diagram could help by the color codes for the wires going to it

I’m unaware that Colombian 43’s (assuming) had a seatbelt warning systems ! Those general market rigs were not big on safety stuff like in NA? It’s not the blinker relay clicking box?
