would the tech stream‘s fancy bells and whistles work on a 2003 LX or is it too early of a model?
@WRP2 Yes it will, just make sure you choose LX and not LC when launching Techstream

What is the latest version of Techstream? Any recommendation on deals/good source to buy from? Thank you in advance.

There is a big thread with lots of information on Techstream in the following link.

Do we post a listing of the XGuage codes? From what I've seen so far, I'm finding the XGUAGE codes for my 1999 Tacoma also work on the 1999 LX470.

XGuage codes are posted in various threads. You should be able to search them.

I got the XGauge code for the tranny temp on my '98 from the TLCFAQs website. No real need for anything else other than that as the rest of the items I wanted were already programmed into it.

I've had two ultragauages fail due to heat... they are cool, but scangauge is a better option. I have one in my 80 and my 100.

I run a $100 autozone special for most diagnostics and then run techstream when I need to do brakes, makes bleeding them super simple.

Do you have a thread for the oil pressure gauge on the 80's forum?

Sort of:

I kept the function of the OEM sending unit and dash gauge, but added the digital gauge to accurately 'monitor'. I also relocated the OEM sending unit. A person wouldn't have to do that....but that is what I chose to do for reasons given in the thread.

Sorry to the OP for going off-topic

@flintknapper it looks like what you did could be adaptable to the 100 as well?

My experience with ScanGauge. Highly recommended.

The backlight of my ScanGauge stopped working. I sent an email to ScanGauge asking if it can be repaired. They responded and told me to send it in with problem description, car model and year. I then remember @LandCruiserPhil told me they are in Mesa, AZ. I stopped by their Mesa office with my broken ScanGauge. I spoke with Joey when I got there. Told him about the problem and asked if he can also help with transmission fluid temperature reading. He said no problem. A few minutes later, we walked to my car, connected the ScanGauge and I have transmission fluid temperature reading. Joey gave me a new ScanGauge II with manuals because my old one was too old to accept new firmware. He also programmed the transmission fluid temperature codes for me. He didn't want any money from me. He said "Just tell your friends about us". He said they have 3 years warranty and they have never charged anybody for repair. He also printed a copy of the codes that he used for me. 5+ stars for their excellent customer service.

Here is the codes Joey provided for vehicle with ISO system.
