Shhhhh!!! Don't let everyone know!!!!

does anyone else here HATE to use a manual grease gun? for some reason I end up with more grease on my hands, on the ground and on the nipple than where it is supposed to go...geez...

i'm kinda the opposite, i prefer manual to pneumatic. With pneumatic i always seem to make a huge mess.

i don't own a grease gun but every shop i've ever worked at owns more than a few.

anyone know how to make my power steering less sensitive?
I have a saginaw set up on my 40, and when going about 40-50 mph it is twitchy.. would installing a different size pump pulley work?
or
is there some sort of pressure regulator I could install?
I have a good steering dampener might i need 2?
or a maybe a different gear box?
maybe larger tires would slow it down.......HA!

in nascar they use about the same type of power steering pump that you find on a street car only they use a different size valve in the body of the pump to make it less sensitive at high speeds.

might be able to google it

I need to bleed my power steering bad!!

How many turns is the box?
How long is your pitman arm?
What is your caster?

my wife thinks all of you are hot little asian school girl swimsuit models and we all have naked parties at cruiser meets.

If that were the case we would be the biggest land cruiser club in the US.

I have what I believe to be a 3* castor correction shim,
I have a shackle reversal on this cruiser,
about a 6" pitman with a 1" drop,
2.5" lift springs,
and it is 3 turns stop to stop, but that is not because of the box, I have the stops out pretty far because when I had the stops in the tie rods were crunching the dampener

I found an article describing some washers on the high pressure side of the pump,, the more washers the less sensitivity,, I have not pulled the valve yet as I do not have the washers.

Was over at my parents house last night and I see this radio sitting in with a pile of stuff my mom was going to give away. She has gotten into this phase of getting rid of things she and my dad don't need. So when they pass away I don't have as much stuff to clean out.

Anyway I remember this radio as it was my moms first radio she ever had as well it stayed in my room at home through my high school year. I told her there was no way she was getting rid of it. So today when I came home from adopt-a-highway it was sitting on my stairs waiting for me. Plugged it in and tuned it to WNCW and the first song I hear is "Shady Grove". Perfect! It now sits in the kitchen where I plan on listening to bluegrass while I cook. Just doesn't get any better than that.

It's a Zenith h845 8 tube from the 1950's. It's amazing how well it picks up stations and the large speaker with the walnut cabinet really has a nice sound. Not bad for a 60 year old radio.
