There is a whole lot of vehicle selling/trading thats went down and is going down in the UC lately.

So for the people who have or is in the process of doing so:

wha'cha getting to replace?

wanted a set of cargo bars for the top of the minivan. Chrysler wants an arm/leg and left nut for oem. Ebay to the rescue!!48.96 for universal shipping included. Woot woot.

i have my eyes on a 40 with a paki top and ambulance jump seats. Also a nice pto winch set up.

Mercedes diesel swap soon to come. Possibly to 700r4...if not a 4speed will be used, i want to keep the winch set up.

I've got a lathe and mill machine at work that i can use to make my own engine adapter kit.

I've gotta get good at these diesel swaps...i'd love to start doing one or two of these a year during the off season at the shop!

i've been told that so long as i keep the 10 spline gear box i can keep the pto.

now just waiting on the dude to get his title in his hands and make the drive to g-vegas.

Thinking about putting 3 SD40 Big window carbs on Alex's old F motor. 1 for every 2 cylinders. Gonna have to cut up some manifolds to do it.

and rebuild the motor first right :grinpimp:

think the old girl might run a little rich ?? Wouldn't you have to increase the intake duration a fair amount to keep the air/fuel ratio correct..... actually this would be the perfect aplication for a trubo cause you are going to need a lot of air to keep up with that much fuel!! this might even give the BIG GAY a run for its' money

do it, do it :hillbilly:

Chucked out almost 1700 dollars on the motor on the old gal today. The 80 has never run so good. It's like having a new vehicle. I can actually go up steep hills without shifting. Very nice. My cruise control will now finally be useful.

a headgasket made that much difference?? I guess you were losing compression?

Replaced all the injectors and it looks like the wiring harness had some major issues. All in good shape. I think some of the exhaust gaskets were gone as well because its extremely quiet. I had them replace every gasket they could get too.

weather is keeping me inside today with the kids. Bummer i could pretty much have it back together other than the exhaust and the choke cable today.

did you get a crazy storm yesterday evening?

in our area we had trees down all over the place. Our trampoline took flight and landed upside down on 3 different fences stretching over 3 different yards. Needless to say she's ruined....all that metal might make some good sliders lol!!!

i was wheeling our trashcan in and then hit by the neighbors trashcan. It was really windy.

I got a text message that our warehouse lost power but it came back quickly. Mauldin had some bad weather a few trees down. But it wasn't real bad. I think the storm we got yesterday will be considered mild by the time my kids grow up.
