Blew the head gasket in the 80 this morning. I guess it was due after 260,000. Ralph Hayes here I come.

They have a new service manager. Larry. He replaced Greg.

I feel your pain..... moved back into the house yesterday after being out for 3 months due to water damage. Finally finished up my master bath addition got to use my new "throne" took a shower in my new shower.... then about 11pm last night as I lay half a sleep in bed one of the water lines to the new vanity ruptured:mad: flooded my new bathroom..... got to work this morning and my wife called to tell me the valve in the new shower has ruptured as well :crybaby:

I haven't even been moved back in for 24 hours and have had two more massive plumbing failures.......I need a vacation:bang:

headed home at lunch time today to install a pressure regulator in my main line as I have have come to learn my PSI is 105 normal is 60-75 PSI anything above 80PSI can damage fixtures/ lines!!!!

This is the kind of stuff that is supposed to happen to Chuck not me :meh:

The nova doesn't have A/C either, but it's not so bad when you open the wing windows, the floor vents, and all 4 side windows, and running 65. Make me stop us a light, and it heats up quickly. But, as Jeremy said, it's just so much cooler than driving a civic

Not much help for the shower, try these for anything that water flows through

FloodSafe® Automatic Water Shutoff Connectors - New Products - Watts

Such a girl, try driving my 40 in hell with a hot V8 blowing air all over your feet through open firewall holes.

I do it for fun though, because the 40 is so much cooler looking than my Taco.:grinpimp:

Plus I love being told that's a sweet Jeep.

I know what you mean. I while driving back from GSMTR in my 40 (which isn't a trailer queen like someone I know):D it got hot as hell in the 40 cab. Still had the doors on and there are 3 big holes in my firewall. Pulled over about half way and Steve loaned me some Gorilla Duct tape. That stuff is awesome. Still hot as hell drive. But certainly beat that drive back the Cuban and I did from URE in the Summer of 06. Was easily 100 outside. I thought Alex was going to die. We drove with ice in our laps the whole way.

Yeah 108 is way high. Would be nice if you had copper lines and metal supply lines. Maybe that's what killed the lines in the ceiling in the first place.

But Alex is Cuban - he should be used to the heat.

I bet Gorilla Tape is gonna bake on nice and hard... :hillbilly:

I grew up outside of Columbia on Lake Murray. In the middle of the summer I would often see an almost 10 degree swing in temps from the lake to downtown Columbia.

I like to think that the older I get the smarter I get. I don't mind being hot if I'm working, cutting the grass, etc - but baking behind the wheel when I could turn that neato little AC knob in my FJ Cruiser and be cool just seems a weee bit crazy. I got enough heat driving the 55 2,800 miles in one trip last summer with the :princess:.

I agree with Steve. You're not allowed to own a vehicle like that AND gripe about it being hot...or cold in the winter. That's like me complaining that streaming Netflix to the "old" 9" screen in the back seat of the 100 just isn't the quality I'm looking for.:crybaby:
