Looks like even having Rover Parts in your cruiser will cause them to break down.
Yeah, I saw that you bought his wheels. He's the other Cove trip navigator. He and I have been up there many times and his Taco is actually the one floundering in the creek video. That was before he flatbedded it.
I was actually right down the road (at ACC) when you were there. You should have stopped by, its always fun there on Saturdays (actually any day I'm there is fun and I've taken vacation days just to work on my truck in their shop).![]()
the 40 is actually easy to work on.
Compared to other vehicles nothing is really all that time consuming to work on.
The biggest PM job is a knuckle rebuild and in 4-5 hours that can be knocked out. A bit messier job than a water pump/timing belt job on your SOHC and DOHC honda engines (B,D,F,H blocks) but you have much more space to work on them in about the same amount of time.
Even with the small block chevy everything is easy to reach and work on.
Ever install a water pump in a full size van...or put an alternator in a pontiac fiero?
You'll want to set the vehicle on fire and roll it towards something you really hate like wet socks or fish that keep stealing your bait.

BMThiker said:just made a deal with Andy Ridge to pick this up for me because it's near Jasper, TN:
Seller says it has no rust, but for what he's asking it doesn't bother me if it does. It was a steal! Going to pick it up when we go to the Cove next month.![]()
D90/110's are in a different category, the motor that is in those is quite simple, no fancy electronics etc... They stopped coming to the US in 1995, so they are pre OBD. If you could get one of the diesels then you'd have a truck that is as bullet proof as a LC...

I have a riding lawnmower with a 18.5 intek motor in it that's leaking out the valve cover and from what I can tell the carb is shot. Do you get deals on parts? Can you sell to us? If so I need some junk to fix this hunk of crap. Also it doesn't seem to put out enough voltage to keep the battery charged. When running it's only .4 volts more than when it's not. Is this about right? Is there a way to get it to charge better? Bigger stator?
Motor is a 3 p7770293E1 031104ze
Main shaft in the carb has a bunch of play in it. Is it worth rebuilding or should I just buy another one?

Didn't anyone tell you, you should have got a Deere... Nothing runs like a Deere, well the old ones with the Kawasaki motor not the new Lowe's ones...![]()
