I just can't paint a 60 grill black and leave it at that :)

Is the 2F going in or coming out? And if out, does it already have a plan for rehoming?

So I did a thing.
Bought it for $200 in a pile of boxes and buckets.
Dug in and found it was pretty much complete and generally in good shape. A few issues (brake pawl boss is broken in the lower housing, but it was tapped for a bolt and seems OK) Motor was dismantled and had broken lugs.

Best part was the two needed rebuild kits were in the bucket.
New DB electrical motor (this will not see heavy use, so lets see if it holds up) and an albright style solenoid. Not quite done yet, but getting close.

Very clean work, well done.

The 2F is coming out, LS3 Connect & Cruise going in. Drive line is already sold.

New leather from LSeat. Fit is terrible but it ended up looking ok

No pics...I know...new battery for my grey truck. My 8 year old Sears Die Hard Platinum died. Went with the battery plus x2power agm 34/78 size.

Truck was in storage and hadn‘t been driven in a year...cranked up first try! Woot!!

My little 3k jack stands were too small, they were on full extension just to get the tires off the ground. I may have gone a little overkill. :doh:View attachment 2489893
Nice! I have a pair of 12T's and a pair of 3T's. Everytime I use the 3T's I am nervous. They creak and groan like they are struggling with the weight of the Cruiser.

Highly recommend throwing a battery tender on it if you have access to power. Well worth the $30

Any particular brand or would a Harbor Freight one suffice? I have a HF in the cabinet and do have power in my storage unit.

I like this one for not much money.

ETA - I don't like the idea of putting cheap chinese electrical devices in an place that is unattended. Not for $25 peace of mind for a reputable brand. Especially on that beautiful truck you worked so hard on!

I have a couple of these. They have worked fine on my lead acid and AGM batteries in many vehicles. It includes both clamps and ring terminals. Battery Tender Plus 1.25A.

Did a little wrenching on a new one last night. Side cover gasket. Not sure it’d ever been replaced since 86’.

Also did inner and outer speedometer gaskets on trans. Many often forget there’s more than an external o-ring. Don’t forget the internal one as well.

Next up is oil pan once the fel-pro snap ups arrive tomorrow.
