Once you get the shroud off, cut it in half horizontally So next time it will be much easier. I did this years ago and no problems. No regrets.

Love this. If I remember correctly I fumbled on the 22RE and guessing you can do the same with it.

Prob to good to be true but I just got one.

Guess we will see.

Seems to be all the rage :) New shop cats, Frick, Frack and Jack. I can't not feed them. We'll get them neutered and introduce them to the barn too. They hang at the shop most of the time

Installed some slick little flush mount cheapie spot LEDs on the bumper, along with rocker switch... man these puppies are bright!

Used a tap and die for the first time... avoiding having to drill access holes in the back of the fully enclosed bumper. Man my bumper is heavy duty

Since I was in my dash wiring the led, I decided to address the rats nest of wiring from the P.O. removed an inverter, about two hundred feed of old unused wires from past PO projects: fog lights, amps, inverter, etc etc

Then rewired my cb and inclinometer to not turn off when headlights are flipped on... this stretched my abilities and patience but happy to report it’s all working. I am getting some weird behavior though... a couple minor gremlins to address in the future.

Ugh, I feel your pain, I deal with the same on most every build. I like the wire nuts on the left. Lots of butt connectors in view as well, I hate those things. Just take your time and check everything and repair it as you go. Putting all those wires into a loom of some sort will go a long way to prevent chafing.

Likely my final update, before the hurricane trip. Since I had some time last weekend, some motivation, and not enough time for bigger projects... decided to glam up my roof rack with some de-rusting and then a fresh coat of semi-gloss

Ya i did it the lazy way... but it worked well.

As someone very new to wrenching.. I’ve got a dumb question if someone is willing to entertain it.

99 LX470 Front diff bushings are shot and I finally have all 3 replacement supports ready to go. Can I just support the housing with a stand and swap out the supports, or does the differential need to come out entirely, which is a few zip codes past my skill level? One of the supports is built into the diff cover, for reasons beyond me.. thanks Lexus..

Also new to ONSC, hi!

Havent spent enough time under my 100 yet to fully answer that. I'll look tomorrow but I'd imagine you could support and do one at a time easily enough.

I would hope so too,

But with that one bushing being in the housing cover I wonder....

I know there was a guy in the 100 specific forum who did a really good write up on doing his front diff bushings!

And it seems like my 18V Dewalt battery has kicked it.... hoping my ancient ryobi 14.4 V can get the job done for now.

Got it all done earlier but couldn't find my rivnut tool so sleeping on either buying another or just using rivets.
