I spose this might seem like an odd question, but does anyone have plans for tube doors for a 40? Reason being is I can't take my cruiser to the guy I want to have build them, so I need plans show him. Btw, anyone ever done these out of stainless? Also, is there a modern door latch readily available that one can use?

thanks

Radish,

Look into our Doors and consider the cost vs paying someone else to build them.. im betting any Fab guy worth his time & Money cant beat our price..

We now use Stainless hardware and latches.. and could build the entire door from stainless if you want!

"modern" latches?? you could retrofit a 76+ Latch on there if you wanted, but we found it easier to keep it simple with a Basic latch..

Shoot me a PM if you want more info..

And as far as a Blueprint, Why not use the Original Door? that's what we did ;)

are you offering a latch mechanism compatible with early style door strikers ?

I have the Redline tube doors and they are very well made. Door latch works well on the 76.

They look like a birfield too :D

Claudia, I Remember talking you you in Moab, Our Tube Doors will need to be used with our Supplied Door Strikers.. The OEM ones would not have allowed us to position the door and latch the way we wanted for a flush, Cleen look.. So you will need to Change out strikers when you change to our doors.. 2 Bolts is all :)

The Last photo below shows how these Doors Saved my Tub by Protecting the door opening.. without these my Hard doors would have never gone back on correctly..

nice doors,i know its not the right place to ask,but im in the market for the full cage and tube doors to buy it at the same time, so wondering which set to use, metal tech or red line.......:hhmm::confused:

Sweet doors and sweet price!!! 225 as shown with latches and hinges?

the $225 price was for Weld on Hinges (Which no one wanted)

$325 is the New price with Adjustable Hinges and now including Stainless Hardware

hey i think the redline doors look sick but i think you should start making some like the pic i have included, its just a rough knock up but you get the idea, i think the bottom section of the door is too plan and has no use really so get rid of it.

thanks mitch

The bottom rail will protect the door sill from getting smashed. My vote is to keep it like it is.

See the Red Cricles Below (Sorry for the Crude Paint Drawing :)) the doors saved my Door Sill and spread the load of the rock to the entire body.. They work great :p

That is the reason i designed them like this.. And the Ability to Skin it and have an enclosed half door to keep out the wind, Rain, Mud & Rocks

Mitcho - if you want some without the bottom tube, we could work something out for a custom one! and thanks for the input, We want Customer Input, its the only way to grow as a company and continue to make cool products that you guys want!
