Grizzly makes fine tools. I have a few woodworking ones, large table saw, etc. They used to hail from Williamsport PA, and every year would have a scratch and dent sale. In ‘92 one of my buddies from Xerox rented a panel truck and we went down for the sale, filled that sucker up! All those tools work perfectly today.

Front open would be a huge advantage. Side loaders are a PITA, especially for heavy items, or when your garage has a lot of stuff next to the blast cabinet.

@Izzyandsue a buddy and I did the same thing , to Williamsport. I still have the drill press I bought way back then and a buddy still has the table saw. I also have a Grizzly band saw and a bunch of smaller tools. Their Pneumatic stuff lasts forever.

I buy about a couple of the Harbor Freight version for $2 each every few months and scatter them. They work fine but as I'm sure you know Starrett tools have that "special feel". I carry a normal Starrett center punch in my pocket everyday and it is still sharp, great for quick scribes in softer metals as well in a pinch. I can't say the same about the cheapie punches staying sharp.

I bought my blast cabinet from the local guys. Drove up there and put hands on their models and discussed media, etc.

The ability to put the end of a lift arm almost anywhere is the big plus, being able to space them a bit farther apart is almost as good. I use my lift for a bunch of different things aside from lifting at the frame, great for loading/unloading trucks or trailers.

I pulled the pneumatic 8" tires off the body dolly and installed hard 6" casters on both ends, fixed in the center. HUGE difference!

I really like the lift, not sure I like it $6K worth though. I have a while before I need to make the choice.

Needed a new tool fix...so I ordered a couple JIC screw drivers. These feel super nice and while a bit on the heavy side you can whack the s*** out of them with a hammer and they have an impact loosening feature.

Also picked up one of the Starrett auto center punches. Holy crap it's got some ass to it. I punched clear through a 1/8" piece of plywood. Definitely need adjusting the stroke depending on the material I'm punching.

I have to put in some new 2x4's on the shed to the concrete floor, and also have to re-attach a skirt-like vapor barrier thing to my old house.

Was planning on concrete bit and screws, but hearing these gun-things are a lot faster/better.
