x2 on that Larry. Id like to get some insight into transmission and transfer case voodoo. I think i may be looking at output bearing to solve my driveline issue.

Well engine is in... Twice.

Turns out they is minor differences in the engine mount brackets that are on the block. First time it landed it was leaning hard to port but after a removal and reinstall is back to the level.

Power steering is on
Fuel hooked up
Couple other minor things

Might get the rest done tomorrow night engine wise. Except the exhaust. It needs some serious repair after another cracked happened...

Leveller.....

Leveller..that's more better. Looking good. I think you're crazy, but keep at it

Not crazy so much as had a long term plan. Lots of work though none the less.

Well lots of progress tonight!

All cooling system is re plumbed including webastos. Electrical is all hooked up except for oil pressure sensor and temp

Oil change
Coolant filled and pressure tested. Starter/bell housing/ clutch/ fly wheel all done now too.

Should be able to start it in the next few days if I play my cards right

It's alive. Started really quickly too. All fluids are topped up and she purrs. Need to raise the idle a touch after removing acsd.

Next up is the air cleaner install I think. Then I can reassemble all the front end bits and pieces.

Nice to have it running.

Well tonight was working on the new air box and snorkel. The plan is to run a 4" snorkel into a monster Donaldson pro core air filter. This then reduces down to 3" into the turbo.

Snorkel lid is a 10" Donaldson pre filter like I used to have on my 60

The filter assembly is mounted off the tube fender for a pretty solid set up. Need to finish up clamps and such but getting close. Also need a 4.5inch hole saw to get the snorkel out the side.

The snorkel is on and mostly done.
Was a busy weekend. Finished the plumbing and mounting of the new snorkel. Need to disassemble to get it welded out and painted. Big question is black? Or silver?

Also got front bib back on. Made a better mount for the rad overflow bottle too. No more zip ties.

I welded up some more of the bracket that mount the t case as I have good access now. And finally fixed the front right can mount. It's been without a bolt for far to long.

Cleaned the garage a bit. Pulled more parts from the 80 to sell. Getting those ready to ship now.

And swapped Paul's transmission and Orion case. He bought a twin stick from AA that interfered with the alum tub. It took no less than 2.5 hours to sort that out.... But it's on and working good

Parts should be here this week for trans so I hope to be rolling this weekend. Holiday Monday wheeling???

One vote black.

Black

I'm in for Monday, are we meeting this week or next?

usually this week. I'm up for any day really. If parts cam in we could due a transmission overhaul night... but we certainly don't have to. I'm good with beer and wings too.... or veggies and water.

Painted snorkel tubes... Black

Then moved to exhaust. Got the flex pipe today thanks to ibex and to ratpuke. Welded that in and remounted downpipe to turbo. Still need to work on hangers.

Fired up and it's sounding good.
