Is that all you wanted to know? Yes, there might have been a few differences under the hood, but I don't think the significant changes occurred until 1989. Both 1986 and 1987 used the same engine ECU, IIRC.Ok thanks, so it's safe to say a factory service manual for an 86 would be the same for a 87?
Torquing lug nuts is good.yes, that's what I wanted to know. To be more specific I'm planning on putting a 1987 22-RE in a 1986 22R pickup. I have a 1986 FSM. I was wondering if everything would be exactly the same. I blame being an aircraft mechanic/inspector that I do everything by the book, I even torque lug nuts.
