What color should I paint my 55 grill? I was looking at the 55 gallery on Birfield and I saw grills and headlight rings that were black, silver, grey, white, off white, etc. I know that the pewter grey is stock but what color do you prefer? Seems like black is the most dominate color. Pictures are great.

Ryan.

Stock is the silverish grey color, black seems to be the most common repaint and looks nice. I went with purple to match my Clemson color scheme. The Grey and Black are your 2 best bets though.

what color is the body?

i prefer gray or silver, but that could change depending on vehicle color

then gray or silver...here's what it'll look like ;)

What about chrome?

:D

Ain't no chrome on a stinking pig! Well, except the mirrors, handles, chrome strip around the roof, indoor handles, window cranks, wipers, ???

My 1975 headlight rings are not chrome but painted, well now they are powder coated bright silver. Is chrome or paint stock? Depending on the year?
I don't think the bezel came chrome on a pig.

MIne was silver with a little gold tint to it. It was the same color that was under the bottom back seat. Where the jack tools were.

I found a good Duplicolor that matched it well.
