Owners of the FJ55 are a proud lot but we get a lot of flak...they're ugly, too much body work...too much rust....they're not a 40. Threads reoccur asking how many remain of the 133K + produced. We are stewards of something special. Preservationists of Pig Iron but we should also be proud of the owners. Those of us who have little knowledge of their workings (and those of us who try to retain ever after learning the knowledge) depend on those who have owned their rig and spent countless hours turning wrenches.
I could laud the FJ55 forever (and continue to do so) but this tribute is about people .....the owners and the leaders of this forum. Ladies and gentlemen, if you are new to the forum you will soon learn that you have kindred spirits from a global perspective(from the states, middle and south America, the UK, our friends in OZ and others abroad). And know that we have among us some folks who go beyond the pale with knowledge, spare parts, and full on support. I just want to acknowledge the learned and sage advice of the Pigheads, the Lucy_FJ55s, the Inkpots, the Luke 111s, the Eric Ellis', the Trollholes', the Rhinos, the Nats, the Cruiser_guys, the PableCruises, the Nuclearlemons' etc who help us all. And there is a man.
A man who lives in Alabama. A man who works long hours......way too long and should rest but yet he makes his way to north Georgia to bring some parts and help someone out he has never met formally before. I applaud him and will never forget his insight, suggestions and will always remember to keep him on my Christmas card list. Thanks buddy
