Ok so the wheels are slowly starting to turn on this again. Dohcdelsol and i are going to pull the motor out of the dent in the morning hopefully. I have around 2500-3k budget wise and hope to have enough $ left for a lift and new tires.

1. Should i just bite the bullet and get a kit instead of piecing it together? I have some leaf springs that look to be in great shape

2. What tire would you look at going with? Probably no bigger than a 33" tire. Going to hopefully do a 2" body lift to help with fit!

Now if we run into problems with the rewiring which i am sure i will one of the two may get the axe just depends on finances!

Should run no problem. Using the drive train we worked on at the hamom. Simply wanting opinions on brand tires and whether to do kit as a whole or piece by piece. Remember we have trollhole cruisers also in case the wiring is too much!

Wild country 33x10.5 have aggressive off road tread and last pretty long for a great price.


Body lift plus DIY aal and extended shackles will get u ok flex for little budget equalling to 3.5 to 4 I.inches of lift . DIY 2" body for 40-50 bucks

Man...with 3 k we could do a Chevy v8 and sm465 swap ...granny gear! As well as suspension!

Ford diesel's are nice but too heavy. You would need to put your 60 on an f250 frame lol.



You could do it...with lots of trimming.

The GM 6.2/6.5. Are about as big as u can go.

Went well today! Got the drive train swapped out and running. Electrical is next! Then as long as brakes are good front axle rebuild then lift and tires!

Gabe.... those are long style/ early FJ40 jump seats but they have been modified with a fold down leg like the later short style jumps. You should be able to find the long style very cheap they don't seem to be nearly asdesirable as the later short version.
