It's way more fun to drive than ride! ! ! !

Doesn't the 2F in the Dent run well? Why not just use it?

I strongly suggest you get the new body running well with anything you need to pull out of the Dent - assuming you have everything you need from the Dent. Once you have a 60 on the road and running then focus on swaps and "improvements." If you get in too deep too soon you will get swamped and discouraged when you don't have a Cruiser on the road for years.

Steve you nailed this one I was so frustrated during the 4 years I took to get my 60 back off/on road again. Took to big a bite and too many changes and just got hammered , get it running and then modify as you can that long down time is not for everone, I know now that I won't start another project on the only cruiser I have ever again.

started the part out today.

power steering pump is sold but i still have to pull the bracket off of it.

so i have been thinking about how to pull the engine. When i pull the one out of the dent do i have to take the headers off 1st or can the chains safely go around them? Also when it comes to pulling it all out at once what advice can you give? Hoping to tackle this in the next couple of weeks. I figure i should learn alot pulling the engine out of the beige one but do not want to screw up the good one out of the dent.

Take the nose off the cruiser. Pull the radiator. Yank everything at one time. Engine trans and transfer. You can pull with the headers on. Though it will be easier with them off. You need a couple people to help you.

There are no chains that go around the headers, there are two hooks on the top of the engine where the engine hoist hooks to.

Started pulling the wiring harness today. So far not too bad but the weather would not cooperate and only got about an hr into it. Almost everything on passenger side is disconnected and labeld under the hood.

You don't have an extra cargo area light in one of the trucks that you'd be willing to part with, do you? (and yes, I'm already cannibalizing your trucks :flipoff2: )

Will look and see. Let u know in a day or two. If anyone else has something they need now is the time to speak up. Power steering pump and brackets sold today.

Starting to think i have bitten off more than i can chew!

My goal is to have the wiring harness completely out of the dent by the end of the week. That is the passenger side under the hood from headlight back!

Not present gonna have to take the one out of the dent.

Forgot about this, gonna have to have a look before the annual.

Gabe, I found all 4 shocks if you're interested. although, I think the front on a 62 are different. It has a post on top. You can come by and get them next time you're in town if you want.

I will keep that in mind. I am not completely sure if i am going to complete this build though i probably will. A friend has a small chevy tracker he is offering me dirt cheap. Only problem with that is i can not get the whole family in it. I will be down your way in a couple of weeks. Will hollar at ya then.

If you don't want the tracker, let me know, my dad has a small fleet he is looking to grow.

Wiring harness came in today
