Question is this does a tranfer case e barke mount up to the stock e break lever?
I just put new bmw buckets seats in and now i have to build a new center console. so if it mounts up to the stock e brake i can better fab it! I want to build it as wide as possible so if it doesnt mount to the oem place I can build how ever i want! I plan on getting the e brake when my taxes come in so whats the good word??

I'm confused. I though all 60 series had the ebrake in the axle, which is much better than the one on the trasnfer case.

Yes they had it in the drum brake setup but mine has never worked since the soa and im doing a disc conversion also so i need an e brake........

I think if you want to go to the rear discs you have to look at a driveline e brake conversion. Otherwise you lose the e brake completely. There are old hotrod conversions that I have seen do this and it has been semi effective. Time for you to do some research.

Yes you can mount the tcase ebrake to the stock lever..

nop it does not .. not to hold when Tencha was at 37" much less now on 40"

Hey Tapage!

Is yours the new one with the much larger MB3 caliper?

Come tax check can be used in better places than the ebrake! Just huck out a cinder block!

A company in the UK Called X Engineering makes a disc parking brake that replaces the drum-style parking brake on a Land Rover xfer case. I had this on my Defender 110, it's much better than the drum-style parking brake.

They're making a Toyota version now. If I were doing a rear disc conversion, this is what I'd do for a parking brake.

maybe i get more back than you!!! a cinder block is a great idea i hope you can run fast when your parked on a steep hill........
Your prob right, paid those slimeballs 6k and only got back 1500. Thanks Obama, but no requirement to run fast, that's what the old lady is for!

I have a rear disk conversion the the PO did which included an ebrake. It didn't work well and the rear brakes were less than adequate. I replaced the rear set up with a new rear disk set up minus the ebrake. I believe they were a gm rear disk. I went with a driveline disk brake and connected it to the original ebrake handle. What a difference! I can actually park on a hill and not roll.
