I would have been good to go. Thanks for the notice.

That's what they all say afterwards. Broken record, and all that:rolleyes:

You suggest we ought not go out just because we happened to decide late on Saturday, or that we ought not post at all so nobody feels left out? ;)

The first one is not really an option, but just say the word on option 2...

That was a short shower... ;p

That's what they all say ...

To put this in perspective:

We've been doing the "binge 'wheeling" thing for a few years now. T-day and X-mas holidays, for the most part. We're going out there, as long as the trucks are not terminally broken.

Typically, nobody besides the regular crew feels the need to utter any interest beforehand. So, since there's no apparent interest, there's no real need to placate the masses with announcements, is there? As a matter of courtesy, someone typically posts as soon as we've decided what to do/where to go. Experience has it that no one else besides the regular crew is actually prepared to be going. Circular arguments - certainly. Now what?

Post up if you want to go out. Simple as that.
This is not the TV Guide - with a menu to choose from weeks in advance...

See you on the trail. Or not. I/We'll be going anyways... :)

It should be posted if it is a CSC run. It has been said many times at the meeting - post up if you have a run.

As stated, they are posted ASAP once decided what to do.

Dude. I posted about going 'wheeling over T-day weekend starting in July, and again a few weeks before, and you feel it necessary to read me the club rules about posting runs? :):)

Look back and see who responded in that thread. Nobody but the regular crew... So, no one else was interested in going...;p

all runs were posted - what's your problem exactly ?

some were posted more than two days in advance, some were posted a little late in the day - yeah, it took us some time to decide what to do, and we needed to make sure all rigs survived the previous day

If this caused a stir (for whatever reason, not sure why when others post last minute every time) then wait until a few weeks from now. Typically during the Holiday wheeling times, a ride is posted to somewhere but not sure where the run will be, only know where the meeting place is. At the meeting place said ride is determined and agreed upon and off we go. During the ride it is discussed about tomorrow's run that is not planned but a possibility. That discussion goes something like this:

"Where do you want to go?" "I don't know, I just want to get out." "Oh, well how bout going here?"

After the run during the airing up time the discussion continues then off to dinner. During dinner it is decided that perhaps it would be possible to wheel tomorrow. Plans are made and a last minute post goes up. If you are flexible then you can join in, if not then sorry but others are going as we have seen happen several times by many other members.

Just be warned that this is all contingent upon a last minute sickness by a family member which we have learned causes the said run to be called off in less of a notice than the actual run notice was posted. :censor:

 See you all on the trail in the next few weeks. :steer:

My response was about your option 2, which is about not to post. I didn't say anything about rules.

If you are talking about your 'wheeling over T-day weekend' thread that you started here, https://forum.ih8mud.com/az-copper-state-cruisers/602437-t-day.html, didn't you say it is non CSC club run? I will not tell you what to do with your non CSC club run.

I don't have any problem. I was commenting on ChaseTruck option 2 regarding not to post.

This screamed csc run...

Check out post #6 in the T-Day thread....chasetruck did post up early. My problem is that he made it pretty obvious he wasn't looking for a club run. Posting up is just less "cumbersome" than PM's to his crew. :meh:

Lucky for me, I don't care if I crash the party. I absolutely don't feel like this post was intended for me, but I also felt safe enough that the group would have helped me out ( and anyone else) if a problem would have occurred on the run :)

Again, Thanks to Kevin for leading the run. And thanks to the rest of the crew who are all friendly and helpful!
I like the idea of binge wheeling. I wish I had more time this weekend! I am looking forward to the Christmas binge!

Correct. Nothing personal, but correct.

The reason that I didn't post as a Club run was that at that time I couldn't provide exact departure dates and locations, GPS tracks with waypoints for every intersection for each day, bug out opportunities for those that only want to do half a day, CB channels, etc. I also couldn't guarantee that it would be family-friendly, that we would be back at a specified time, and whatever other requirements it'll take to make something a Club run.

At the time when I posted, I had a rough idea where I wanted to go over the T-day weekend, but no precise trail list or itinerary. And as I indicated, I wanted to do some two-locker trails - no offense intended, but those are not necessarily fun for everyone.

In fact, the order of runs got changed around several times. FR160 to Sugarloaf was put on Saturday precisely to allow for more CSC participation on an easy run - and that's what happened. I would have preferred to run it on Thursday.

The same thing is probably going to happen over the X-mas holidays. A rough idea, and the determination to go out as much as possible. Without any indication that someone else might be interested in coming along, we'll probably figure things out on a day-by-day basis again.

You want a Club run - post up. You want a club run, but are not sure which trail or where to go, or are uncomfortable taking the lead - post up, someone will answer, or take the lead from there.

Post up - I want to go, my truck is such'n such, which trails do you guys think it can do, I'd like to go on such'n such day - it'll work... It just takes some initiative.

What's the big deal? Somebody or somebodies went on a run and other somebodies feel like they were dissed? Really there's a whole lot more to worry about. I don't remember there being a bunch of indignation when last summer's annual Payette run turned into a "hey we went" instead of a "hey we're going"... So what. You run or don't, you post up you're going or not. Personally I don't feel left out and or dissed and or ignored if I show up for a run or don't and others do or don't. :meh:

Oh and cool pics. Until either of my rigs are fixed I'm a web wheeler. :crybaby:

No hard feelings here. I don't want to change tradition. Too bad tradition doesn't work for everyone. But, it is what it is.

I don't need any more detail than start time and start place. I will plan on being gone until dark. Etc.

With that said, I really don't think this was last minute, per se. You posted up early :) Phil also said the season was coming soon and we should get ready. So here we are...

I hope you guys keep posting up. I like the pics of all the past runs! Most of the trails are new to me!! I have time set aside, if it works out. I'd be happy to join.

I'm sure the monthly club runs will start up again soon, that should accommodate the folks that need more :)

I organized a club run last Spring. I didn't know about all the rules. Oops!

wow

when did we get rules?

Movin' on

wow

when did we get rules?

I said, "rules". Sorry, I meant to say I didn't know about all of the "requirements" for a club run. I want to organize one soon, so I'll figure it out! Meanwhile, get ready...
12/15 or 12/16 (rhetorical->)? Of course I'll start another thread....mods, please make sure I start another thread :) ha ha
