E-Koots are awesome! Been working in the Sparwood/Elkford area for a few years now. Tons of great exploring/wheeling past Elkford in that whole valley.
I worked for the Invermere Forrest District manny moons ago. Everything between Golden and Cranbrook was my “office”. Loved it up there… so much to explore. None of it was behind locked gates back then. Every day was a new adventure.
I worked under the engineering RO. Some days I was paid to go check if roads were still there and report on any issues. I miss those parts. Still have the same 40… 30+ years later.
West Kootenays are pretty great too.

Pretty cool the pictures drones can take these days.
I wish I took a picture the day I was heading to work in Invermere that I was above the clouds and dropped below them with the descent down to Invermere. Unfortunately 30+ years ago I didn’t have a compact digital camera in my pocket to capture it.
Now we all do…
