A spare everything minus the crap frame. I'd cut this into a four door and overland the back.

Not the one I was thinking of, but his 10" extension doesn't look too bad. Just looks like a tire clearance trim job.

I can’t wait till I tell everyone I’m considering grafting in jeep front fenders as a solution to tire poke 🤣🥳. I’d say 40 or 70 series front fenders but (1) who has any of those for cheap, and (2) I like to poke the bear ;-)

My plan is to custom extend the portion forward of the cab that’s only like 4” and push it forward by filling it in so it doesn’t look like I need 40” tires to make it look stock.

Definitely some figuring out to do yet, but I don’t plan on extending the length AND having a gigantic opening.

Sea potato has forms for 40 fenders, that's how I built my fiberglass ones, you could do something like that then extend them fairly easily.

That said with such a Frankentruck it seems to be pretty fair game to use whatever works 😅

I think it's a fun project, quite difficult, but looking forward to seeing what you guys do 😁

Well, sometimes the stars align and a beautiful generous human being decides it’s your day to be the receiver of wonderful things…today’s FB Marketplace find that will be the centrepiece of this project :) My kid is super stoked, although I’m still not sure how incredible he understands this is for his project.

Purdy. I need to replace some cables on mine that have insulation that is cracked. I’ve not pulled my truck with it, but it sure it’ll do the job. I just need to thin out my stray somewhat. 🤷‍♂️

Finally got the other kids 4Runner painted…so we’re gonna lean into this hard now.

Very likely none of the body mounts will line up so current plan is to cut OEM ones off frame and build new to fit. So…if anyone’s looking for 60 series body mounts I may have some available in the near future.

I'd cut that firewall out and advance the cab as much has I could. keeping the shifter in mind

And a cheap wheel barrow makes for and easy cowl replacement.

Saw Finnegan do that, I supose it’s an old hot rodder trick but I had not been aware before that. 👍🏻

I seen it on Deboss Garage

My rat brain is thinking hmmm, Tundra conversion!
I’d sell the Tundra before cutting it up and find a rolled/wrecked Diesel JDM 80 series… or something similar. Tundra looks too nice to be a donor… now that you have fixed it up.

Rockers/sliders/steps are on and rear cab fenders in place. Adds a a bit of weight to the cab but certainly strengthened things up! And yes, we will cut them back once we figure out front fenders placement.

Had to cut the tranny tunnel a bit to expose the shifter and transfer case lever, but we may rebuild the entire centre tunnel and include a console (get rid of the 2pc bench seat and go with buckets instead).

Kid is mocking up the square front fenders today and once we build and land the body mounts we’ll remove the cab again and start painting.

Then we’ll clean up the frame and give a bunch of coats, put the cab back in and build the front clip extension in place.

Slowly but surely…

Just a thought, since it is a B engine, you could move the engine forward on the frame, basically put the fan in the same place as an F engine. It would allow the cab to move forward without modifying the firewall.
