Tow vehicle/trailer/camper for transporting a 60?

Here's what I tow and haul with, 5500 Dodge. It's the 6.7 diesel with the six speed stick. A little over rated for you, but it doesn't ride bad at all and gets @ 15 mpg with the 4.44 gears. You could put a camper on the back and pull all your toys.

I want that same setup, but in a crew or mega cab. Gotta have 4 doors if the tow rig will ever see time as a daily driver!

That's a cool setup... I love the overkill factor with the 5500/3-axle equipment trailer combo.

At this point thinking of the 8.1 Suburban... will need to understand what diff gears I should be looking for... I'm going to try to test drive some Suburbans to see how they feel... having the interior cargo area outweighs the open storage of the pick-up format for me

It's nice to have around the farm. That trailer has 5200 pound axles and can haul my 2 1/2 ton Military truck or my farm tractors, if needed. The 5500 is used a lot to haul road rock, it can hold 9,000 pounds of rock and dump up to 16,000 pounds. Not to mention, take my Wife to the grocery store! :)

8.1 suburban has 3.73 gears....stay there

Only thing I did not care for on my sub was the electronic shocks..$600 each. Thats one of the ways they get a smoother hwy ride out of the suburban, it also adjusts ride height automatically based on load. I would have kept the 02 model 3/4 sub I had with 496, but I needed a pickup.

I never had any issues with mine...I bought mine used and had it for 3-4 years, i changed the fluids the wires and plugs and that was about it, other than I put a better trailer hitch receiver on mine.... Go to e-trailer and get the "titian"..

I don't think that trailer hitch existed (the one you referenced) when I bought mine a few years ago...I just remember that at the time the titian was the HD hitch for the 3/4 ton suburban. There may be better options out there....I no longer have the suburban...I would have to say the titian I had was a very nice HD receiver...I'm sure there may be other competitive models.
