Asheville has to have one of the highest concentrations of wiccans in the US. Can't they all gather their crystals and collectively come up with some sort of mega curse for real estate developers?
What, are you turning into @fj40alex now?

Thoughts and prayers don't do a damn thing; everyone knows that.

The curse is bad table service wherever they go, because everyone works service industry to make ends meet in an overcrowded town with low wages and high cost of living and they're all dead inside

An anti-rant - I'm glad I don't have to fake smile for 9 hours straight anymore.

When I moved to the Carolinas from the Keys in 2005 I looked at Asheville and said no way. I was already getting crazy then. I chose the outskirts of Hendersonville which is also growing by leaps and bounds now. It is even starting here in Chesnee, which is downtown nowhere.
Sorry Stan, they found you. Soon too you will be experiencing the joys of driving amongs thousands of clueless BMW drivers looking at their phones.

I updated it a little bit as it had the incorrect statement. I have been to Chesnee, have been to your lovely shop and horse barns, it is the best place to live, I must admit that much

I don't know about lovely, but we like it out here. There are new houses going up all around although we are somewhat insulated currently. The big fear is that there is a 43 acre lot land locked past one property at the end of the dead end road. If they somehow get the folks at the end of the road to give them an easement, my road will become a construction entrance.

They're clearing the wildlife filled woods behind our quiet homes to slap in a housing development with 30 properties on roads that cannot handle the traffic.

Whenever they want to stop putting us on top ten places to be sorts of travel lists, would be f***ing great
It was absolutely asinine when I drove through last month.

@weejub i am not even 45 and have been told I am grumpier old man already. Too many people not following rules, no sense of responsibility, and thinking too highly of themselves (seller of that rig maybe). Prices are and maybe were insane…I hope so as I want a second 100 preferably an 06.

its only worth what someone will pay.

I don't get too worked up at the the private market doing its thing.

Yea - as a self-described "economist" and free-market guy, I hear you - I think I have to preach that all the time and this time, I just kinda lost it LOL.
