We're proud to announce the following sponsors for 2024 in no particular order:
STLCA - Southern Toyota Land Cruiser Association (hosts of GSMTR)
CCLC - Capital Land Cruiser Club
Concentus - Outdoor-oriented IT company...
Well, i am seriously having an issue uploading pics. It says they are too big. So... i'll have to just type and you guys can imagine how cool it was. :)
Preparing for a big overland trip is very important. This is just my opinion so take it...
I'm pretty sure I saw Luke driving the Patrol on Sharon View, pretty near my house, last week or so. It didn't register in my brain until well past waving time! Good to see it on the road.
Spare tire time. Luke got the swing out mounted. It must have come off a different year Patrol as one bracket didn’t line up. Luke fabbed up another. we decided to use a different rim off my 40, which doesn’t match but gets the job done.
The Cruisers On The Rocks event at Windrock provides Patch Agan's @cruiserpatch simple little GMRS Channel / Frequency chart as part of their driver registration packet. It would be nice if we did something similar. For now, here's a copy of...
Happy to help wherever. I’ve been a participant for several years. I’ll help with cleanup during the event, inspections, and happy to lead a little Relic (easy mode) cruise in the woods.
Congrats. It’s been a fun project that moved at his pace & skill level. The folks on the 60Patrol.com forum have been immensely helpful and where I’ve acquired a few parts. Sometimes it’s slightly annoying that parts are not everywhere like...
Just found your thread (thank god). Rebuilt a 72’ FJ40 over 5 years - moved from DC to FLA and sold it to someone in Miami. It was never about driving it - it was about turning the wrench. I have a 13year old that needs to learn how to fix stuff...
The budget build continues with a badly pitted spare tire rim that came with the Patrol (all 4 were pitted pretty bad). I voted to smooth it out with JB Weld. Luke voted to weld it up then grind it smooth. Slow going.
The T-shirt designs have been finished. I thought I would go ahead and post them to the thread. Make sure you sign up soon so you can pick one up in your size!
I need to go through my garage to get a full inventory of what I want to get rid of, but I have a few items I know of off the top of my head.
Coleman Cascade 3-in-1 Camping Stove (only used 2x) $120
Tembo Tusk Skottle (*legs are not adjustable)...
Hey @roadstr6 any update on Nathan's choice for school?
Not to derail but Sarah was accepted to NC State as well and has committed to College of Design.
I don't have anything to sell, but have space to transport. Bring your s*** to my house, I'll bring it to Relic run and sell it for you. No commission taken by me.
No return trip though. Any unsold s*** will be given away or thrown away.
M&G was a good time, as always. Friday night was warm and dry. Potluck was delicious and Shaun had the fire raging well into the night. I slept in on Saturday morning to the peaceful pitter patter of rain on my tent. Saturday was wet, but...
Found a Cruiserhead/Patrolhead willing to part with a couple unobtanium parts - a dash cluster panel and rear tire swing with all the little giblets. Our last 2 big missing pieces. He tossed in various printed service manuals. Very cool...
We should have a big crew coming up this year. I think my 45 will be a hit if it actually makes it - it is REALLY rough
I’ve also been pushing this event on all my customers with classic cruisers.
